The Aion is a comfortable, family run, 10 room boutique hotel. Calling it a luxury hotel is a stretch. The shower is a low-end Home Depot prefab fiberglass model. Luxury? Maybe in Sri Lanka. The floors are also wooden, so if you're not on the top floor, the guests above you sound a bit like a herd of buffalo. The breakfast was acceptable.
It's nestled right in the center of Nafplio, so you can't drive up to it. You'll have to park by the waterfront and walk a block or two. There are bunches of restaurants and cafes within a short walking distance.
The lady that ran the hotel was friendly and helpful. We booked on short notice in the high season, so we didn't have a lot of options. It wasn't bad and I'm sure there are many worse in Nafplio.
