Great bar to sample the stunning view of Plakias bay, at any time of the day. Ice cold Alpha & nibbles. Great coffee as well.

Once we discovered Candia we never went anywhere else for our morning and after dinner coffee. Very good quality, a relatively good price (€2.50 for a cappuccino) and a very friendly owner and waiters who are clearly proud of their coffee. They also serve all kind of pastry.

Have been coming to Plakias but only discovered this gem on our current holiday. Right on the Main Street overlooking the sea and beach, it’s an ideal place to have one of their ice creams, and really relax and enjoy your surroundings. The service is excellent and the attention to detail is exceptional. An example is if you have one of their cheese pies, the knife and fork come wrapped neatly in a napkin, held together with a small plastic tie. It may not sound much but it shows the level of service. We’ll definitely becoming back to the Candia and would recommend others to give it a try. You won’t be disappointed.

Love this cafe which has a huge choice of ice creams that are all delicious. Staff are lovely and friendly too.
