Went twice in this trip trip of March 2018 to this stadium which we only saw while big cricket matches were played and telecasted. Was quite excited to see the stadium , paticularly the snow covered mountains. It is locted at a place which can better be described as an education hub. Distance from Mcleodganj is about 11 KM . We hired a small commercial vehicle and went Naddi view point and this stadium for Rs800/-. Cars are not allowed to go upto the stadium gate and we had to walk for about 400 meters. The road is good and goes through the Colleges/ hostels . Plenty of good food is available on the road near institutions.

Excellent view as expected . First day weather was not bad at Dharamshala though in Mcleodganj it was drizzling and could see the snow peaks . The weather was not that friendly in the second day but could ejoy the wonderful scenic beauty of the surrounding and of the stadium.

No entry fee is required to go inside the stadium. A portion of the staium is kept open for the visitors ( Gate No 2).One can stay for as much time as one wants but upto 5 PM. There is a restaurant at the right side of the entrance to the stadium . But the wash rooms and stairs for entering stadium require proper upkeepment.

A must see place while visiting Dharamshala/ Mcleodganj. Any cricket stadium looks nice but the surrounding makes the difference and here the Dhauladhar Range has made the trick. So it is a very good place to pass time in a sunny day and average in a cloudy day as Dhauladhar Range disappears behind the cloud.

In ths cricket crazy country of ours...while in Dharamsala..a visit to the HPCA stadium ..the highest stadium in the world...is a must. Its a good 10-15 min walk from the car parking area. U can only enter a specific stand..but by God...the view from there is simply stunning !! The stadium building..with the snow capped peaks in the background is mesmerizing.
Just sit there...enjoy the feeling....imagine a high-octane match is taking place before ur eyes...click some pictures.

When we visited this stadium on 14-3-2018, there was no match and was under maintenance. I was always eager to see this stadium because whenever I saw the cricket matches on TV, played in this stadium, the camera was alway zoomed to show the outside scenes with Himalayan glaziers taking the priority. I witnessed it real, and it is unique stadium in India and may be in the world for having such wonderful surroundings. There is a separate entrance in gate 5 for visitors to see the stadium. Instead of any more description to talk about the beauty of this stadium, my photos will describe it.
