I can get use to the Portuguese cuisine, 1920 has not disappoint, great food, wonderful, full of heart management and staff. I’ll bring the family soon.

This is a very authentic Portuguese restaurant. The owner is omnipresent and makes a genuine attempt to ensure that the menu is explained to you. There are some very traditional Portuguese dishes such as goat, Bacalhau and various pork dishes. The best selection of Portuguese wines in South Africa. Recommended.

We managed to get a booking here on a very stormy Johannesburg night. The restaurant is quiet, cozy, the owner Manny welcomes you personally, drinks order is taken quickly. Many is on hand to describe the specials and give advice on the extensive menu, definitely something for everyone. We went for the prawn special, excellent, and 2 of our party had the beef espetada which arrived with fabulous roundcut chips. We will definitely be back, this restaurant is the best kept secret in Jozi!
