We headed this way to visit boulder beach penguins and we were most impressed with simons town when we stopped off for coffee. What a lovely little spot.
The museum was really interesting with an extremely friendly English guide, we enjoyed learning about Just nuisance and even visited his grave. Would definitely recommend the museum if you're passing through.

What a lovely museum. Small but extremely interesting. Covers all aspects of life in Simon's Town in years gone by. A very small donation is asked for by way of admission and it's worth every Rand. Nice helpful volunteers on the door. Lovely section on pets of the Navy and of course Nuisance the dog.
Recommended.

Kids & even adults will love it...seeing penguins in their natural habitat & learning about their lifestyle.
Otherwise nothing much do in this town...so you can do it as a day trip from CapeTown...
