We booked the entire house for our group and opted for the self catering option. The house is large with plenty of room for 16-18 adults.
Breathtaking views of False Bay, and central location in Simon's town. The staff is helpful, rooms are clean and the house is well maintained.

Location was good for visiting the penguins at Boulders Beach. We experienced noise after 7am from the breakfast room and our poached eggs were overcooked. Good view from the bedroom windows of the sea, Simon's Town.

I'm glad you were happy with our location and views. I am sorry your poached eggs were too hard. I will discuss this with our breakfast team. We have been conducting training these last few weeks, so that might be a contributing factor. Our breakfast normally has a relaxed and peaceful atmosphere, so I'm sorry that you were disturbed.

This was the end of a trip and what a pleasure it was. We were treated to a lovely dinner. It was late and we were tired enough that we requested our main meal be boxed up to keep in our room for lunch the following day. Done and delicious.

Though I didn't partake, there was complimentary sherry and the view...oh, the view! It was gorgeous. We had a balcony overlooking the harbor. The sunrise and sunset were stunning. Having a view of the back would have been as beautiful as well since it is a mountain.

Breakfast was delicious. The place is fabulously decorated, very peaceful and convenient (walking distance) to Boulders Beach. You feel safe here. Highly recommend!

Room Tip: Not sure how you could go wrong in any room, but we had a great one!

Thank you for your lovely review. I am so happy that you felt peaceful and safe here. We are blessed to live where we enjoy these privileges. These, along with the views resulting from our location on the mountainside above the Simon's Town harbour, all played a role in our decision to build our guest house here 8 years ago. We hope to welcome you back on your next visit to the Cape Region.

A late decision to overnight in nearby Simonstown meant a stunning evening and morning spent at Mariner Guesthouse. If possible, the promise of excellence on line was exceeded by the reality.
We loved the "honeymoon suite" with its luxury appointment and stunning views.
Staff lived the values of client concentricity (thank you Sharon!)
The breakfast was the veritable cherry on the top! My wife and I can only thoroughly endorse Mariners in their offering. One of the best accommodations we have experienced both in SA, and in limited travel overseas:)

Room Tip: We didn't see the other rooms, but try to stay in the Superior room. So worth it!

We had high expectations for this property, which were exceeded. What a beautiful setting to enjoy the romance of South Africa for one more stunning sunset. The whole house is very well appointed, with great attention to detail. Because it was the last night, even though I was with my mom, we got the "honeymoon suite," which was perfect. It was so beautiful and the chandeliers on a dimmer added such a luxurious touch. Sunrise and sunset were equally beautiful and peaceful, as seen from the private balcony. Food was delicious; we had a sit-down dinner on arrival, and breakfast the next morning, both of which were great. They accommodated our vegetarian diet with ease (we notified them beforehand). The location is also very convenient. We enjoyed the exercised to get back up to the house from the central area (short in mileage, but steep!)
