Futaleufu River Bio Bio Expeditions Camp
Reviewed 29 August 2016

It's been a few years- further back than the calendar here will allow- but I still dream of revisiting. Marc and Lars have put together an incredible mix of fun, adventure, beauty and serenity. These have networked and gathered an outstanding group of experts who love the water and do everything to make sure their clients have a very safe and adrenaline filled days. The tent camps over the water is better than any four seasons hotel, and only outdone by the morning yoga and fantastic food/wine. Hot showers and flushing toilets help. Riding with Chilean saddles- never got sore and almost brought one home-even when I don't ride at home. Eating off the raspberry bushes- guess that's what I think summer camp is all about. White water rafting- unbelievably exhilarating, and only scary when you review on the video. DO NOT MISS. Totally rejuvenated and energized. Getting there was an adventure but a great way to see the country side. think the route has changed since i visited but area they route through now- been wanting to see that area for a while. Planning again!

Room Tip: Each tent is named after a major river in the world- think Marc and Lars might have rafted them all...

Outstanding adventure in Patagonia with rafting, kayaking, horseback riding, duckies, dancing great food , knowledgable guilds, a great way to get out of the routinue and into nature. Highly recommended!
Can not praise it highly enough the best in over 100 adventures in last 17 years. If you love rafting clas 4,5 5+ river with a knowlegible and safety conscious group this is the group for you. Camping in tent with raised mattresses can not call it roughing it but if ytou love the outdoors, this is the trip for you

Room Tip: Camping at its best, even with children over 5 y.o.

Finally made it to Marc and Lorenzo's creation along the shores of the Futaleufu... Incredible what they have been able to build with the help of world class guides, builders, and Chilean locals. Every level of outdoor action is at your fingertips - kayaking, class V whitewater, fishing, mountain biking, horses. I've never eaten so well, and then camp amenities include a full bar, hot tub, sauna, and reading room. The wine tasting and grill at the end of the week was a great way to end. I will definitely be back, hopefully next time with my daughter and more friends, to be part of the Futa family.

Just back from another brilliant week at the BioBio camp on the Futaleufu River. ( our second trip after a 5 yr gap) . The river is obviously the main attraction - superb class 3 to 5 rapids , clear turquoise warm(ish) water surrounded by magnificent scenery. A kayakers/rafters dream. River guides are brilliant with safety a top priority.
Off the river, the camp is well set up, (glamping not camping) with comfy beds and doonas in the tents, hot showers , proper toilets, and a hot tub next to the bar! Food is fantastic. Staff are very helpful and friendly - nothing is too much trouble for them. We will be back!

My husband and I traveled to the breathtaking Bio Bio Camp on the Fu for the second time in three years. We loved it so much in 2013 that on our second trip this past week that we brought 5 friends with us.

The camp, the rafting and the guides all make for an amazing adventure. There is so much to appreciate around camp that you won't want to leave at the end of the week.

So many of our friends said that no matter how often we talked about it or showed them pictures nothing can describe the beautiful environment around you.

The rafting it top notch and the guides are serious about safety.

Bio Bio now offers a private cabana at camp with an en suite bathroom, so if you are looking for a little privacy and a little more space this is an excellent option.

This is our fourth trip with Bio Bio and we are already planning our 5th. Once you travel with Bio Bio once you are in the family for life.
