I have had good stays at novotels and therefore expect good atmospheres from their properties. The hotel in Batam however was a disaster. The rooms were unclean. The be lobby had a weird smell. Had to make the housekeeping staff change the sheets 6 times before they could find one without yellow spots on them. Bad views. Terrible stay. Never again.

I was in Batam for two days business trip and decided to try Novotel as I have never stayed there. I surprised with the Hotel facility that was looked old with average facility. The services provided by the crew are also not as good as Novotel hotel at other cities. The food was also average quality. Thanks that they were not charge with high rate. It was actually cheap but the services was not as expected. The best thing I've got from this hotel is airport transport driver that was very helpful.

A wonderful hotel with truly world-class hospitality. Each and every staff was very helpful and always smiling.

Rooms were very big (considering that we stayed the night before in Singapore in a 4 star). I love bath tubs. The toiletries were also very nice.
The jasmine tea in room was very refreshing. It think it was of a brand called Sosro. The black tea was alright

We had 2 breakfasts and the spread was good with a wide range My wife and mother being vegetarians enjoye the croissants,toast, juices, pastries and shortcakes. Gado-gado was not very Indonesian as I was expecting but was very tasty indeed. Mind you it can be really spicy if you ask for it spicy.

Free shuttle to malls again a boon as I find it rather unreasonable paying SGD 5 for a ride not far away. We did take cab back though.

Unfortunately we had some prob with the AC the first night but was pretty exhausted so managed to fall asleep. Got it sorted the next day.

Located not far from N.E.D. We walked back once, it tool only 12 mts and around 17-19 mts walk from Nagoya Hill Mall. Incase u get lost you will notice Pan Pacific the Ship-shaped hotel. Pretty much everyone in Batam knows Novotel and most other hotels and will direct you correctly in case you cant find your way around.

Taken awhile to write this. Went there for 2nd time now. The room this time is relatively small compare to the previous one that I'd stay. But nevertheless, is still a good stay overall.

This time is considerably peak seasons and now is good time to measure the services.

Let's talk about the check-in, is relatively fast. I reached earlier than expected and were told no room yet and to come back later. But the staff willing to dig deeper for me for a to and we got to check in and freshen up before we hit the shopping mall. Everything is in order and services is reasonably well.

The room itself is alright light up nicely but then I discover is a smoking floor and I opt for non smoking. Well is holiday I don't really mind it. The room is decent and no smoke smell and the bed is in order so are the amenities. Water pressure is good for me and is not too noisy. Just one thing I don't like is the phone call. I keep getting phone call from anonymous person and I even went down to check with the reception for this. I think management should work on this to increase privacy.

The check out is slightly problem due to peak hours. So I willing to overlook on that. Believe it won't happened if is not public holiday. And one more to add is the spa. I got a free spa voucher but due to the season, everything is fully booked. So I talk to the manager and they had some discussion. They managed to squeeze an extra staff in to cater and to help on fulfilling the spa request. So is a good point to that.

Will definitely return next time.

Had short getaway with my wife, stayed 3D2N in this hotel. Booked Executive Queen and upgraded to Business Suite, thanks to Accor Membership.
The room is very spacey and clean, as the building a bit old, there was some water leaking on one of the ceiling, but the staff acted very quickly after I gave feedback at the receptionist, so the problem is settled right away.
The Staff is very helpful, talked to Ms Dien at receptionist and she gave us some tips that we found very useful for our trip.
The breakfast was okay probably need to add more selections on the buffet spread.
Did not try the pools but we passed the gym and saw the equipment is outstanding.
Below are our ratings.

Cleanliness : 4 / 5
In Room Facility : 3 / 5 ( The TV a bit too small )
Location : 4 / 5
Service : 5 / 5 ( Glad the hotel provides free shuttle bus to Nagoya, so can save IDR 50K)
