Everything was awful. The staff was extremely rude and had no customer service skills. We had metal in our food. We watched a chef use tongs for raw food and then grab cooked food with the same tongs right after
and serve it. The food areas had flies everywhere and we're breaking basically every food safety law; not keeps foods that needed refridgeration even on ice, and some heating machines didn't work either. We were checked out a day early and locked out of our room for an hour and then had the staff keep calling us telling us we were supposed to be checked out, when they finally admitted they were wrong. We had exposed wires in our bathroom shower and toilet. Most importantly, we never received an apology from the staff for any of these occurrences until we had to confront management who then made us come back and wait for over an hour on our last night, waiting for him to get back from his

I can assure you that it was never our intention, on the contrary our personnel is trained to accomplish our guests' requirements and needs as much as we can. There would be no biggest reward than to have the opportunity to welcome you and your family once again and that their last experience not be a motive not to stay with us in the future neither that you do not recommend us with your clients.

I had a wonderful time at this hotel. All staff were nice and respectful. They would engage in conversation and took care of your needs as best as they could. Impressed with quality of rooms and other accommodations. I felt very secure and security was present but not houvering. Wonderful family time and hope to be back with entire family and recommend to friends! Wonderful adventure!

I’m Expedia VIP Gold; I used to receive a littler be special treatment like a premium guest, but this time was the exception. I did not received the promised discount; the room service had a cost, so I wasn’t treating like a Premium Guest, also the staff is overambitious with the tips, I use to give tip, because a good service has to be compensated. 2 years ago I went to Mexico, Barceló Palace deluxe Riviera Maya and I have not complained about it, the service was exceptional and I was treated as Premium Guest. The last day in Punta Cana I asked for an answer and they told at the Front Desk that they have deferent rules than other Barceló. My decision to go to Barceló Palace Punta Cana was the impression about Mexico service and their special treatment with the Expedia VIP Gold.

The resort was very big and clean. Great staff and a great family value. The downside is that the food is sub-par. If they focus on improving the quality of the food this place would be top notch. The beds were very firm so that can be an issue if you tend to like a softer bed.

Huge resort! The food is very good with large varieties.
Drinks are mediocre. Overall, staff was friendly except for the ones at Hoya 19 restaurant.
Pools are well kept and clean.
Rooms are dated. Not enough activities for kids.
