Huge resort! The food is very good with large varieties.
Drinks are mediocre. Overall, staff was friendly except for the ones at Hoya 19 restaurant.
Pools are well kept and clean.
Rooms are dated. Not enough activities for kids.

Bed bugs, average food, unfriendly staff, very difficult to get anything done. Would not recommend! Avoid this place. Staff took over 2 hours to come deal with our bed bug issue. And when they did come nothing was done about it. Manager Yolanda was condescending, rude, and made the situation more stressful.

We were very disappointed to read your experience during your stay in our Barceló Bavaro Palace hotel, whilst an apology will regrettably not alter the outcome of your experience on this occasion, please believe we do extend it with all sincerity.

We would like to apologize for the situations you may have encountered. We are very concerned about the situations you reported; especially those that reflect the uncommon situation that you explained us concerning to the bedbugs. We kindly immediately we received your bug’s report our Quality Department proceeded your room’s inspection, verifying in front of you the bed linens and furniture; fortunately we didn’t found any evidence.

Be informed that our hotel follows strict fumigation programs that are carried out continuously and our rooms are subject to constant supervision. For your knowledge and tranquility, allow us to inform you that the health and well-being of our clients are our highest priorities. It is for this reason that we work continuously following the established safety and hygiene standards and the corresponding sanitation, which are continuously monitored by internal and external audits.

It is our sincere hope, this not be a motive not to stay with us in the future. There would not be a better reward than to have the opportunity to welcome you back to regain your trust and demonstrate you our commitment to excellent service.

A little disappointed with the inconsistency in service and having to wait two hours for room to be ready only to be given a room that was not quite clean and was set up for someone else and their honeymoon. Some stag were super friendly and helpful but the majority either just didn’t care or were blatantly rude...

We appreciate the observations concerning the service and we are sorry that we were not able to impress you with them. Please let this not be a not to stay with us in the future. Even though I can assure you that we continuously work with our staff in order to improve the quality of our services, I also have to say that in general our guests perceive the Dominicans to have a friendly, cheerful and sympathetic nature.

Excellent service - go see Walfren Santana in guest service & he will take care of you! He’s the best! Took care of us and got us the reservations we needed for our dinners for party of 11. Food was great, pools were fantastic.

The Resort looks grand but the hospitality & service were bad & food quality & drinks were poor. By the time they brought drinks you were done eating! We even tipped everyone and that didn’t seem to help. Beach was not as nice as expected- lots of seaweed and no better than a California beach. We paid to travel outside the resort for nicer beaches. Not truly all inclusive! You have to pay for all sorts of things unless you upgrade and even then it is not great. Cheap toiletries and they only offer one local light beer, no good or top shelf alcohol. By day two you are tired of the beer and fruity syrup drinks. Average resort. The pools are good. I had a good time because I was with a group of friends and family traveling together. We would not go back to this resort. I have heard so much about Punta Cana and this resort has good ratings but it did not live up to expectations. Go somewhere else.
