We stayed 4 nights there. Due to the closure of the restaurants, they gave us a free upgrade to a pool villa. This was much appreciated, since all the trips has been cancelled as well. So we relaxed on our own pool, in room dinning in the garden, not bad at all

Your 204 sqm Beachfront Pool Villa is spacious yet intimate with a unique touch - a wrap-around chlorinated salt water pool on three sides with the tropical garden area for relaxing and it commands the stunning sea view from Andaman sea. Situated directly in front of the Banyan Tree’s tranquil beach, this villa also offers a large living room with dining area. The spacious area of your villa is suitable and comfortable for stay in and enjoy all in-villa amenities and facilities without ever wanting to leave the villa. Soaking and swimming in your private pool, dipping in the jacuzzi while sipping the cool drinks, reading your favourite e-books in your own garden, or taking the short journey to the beach by your private wooden raft in front of your villa to savour one of the most beautiful sunset in Thailand and it is just a few steps away from your villa. There are many activities that you can enjoy within your villa and the nearby to enjoy the wonderful holiday at Banyan Tree Krabi.
It was unfortunate that all excursion trips in Krabi were cancelled and you were unable to go out from our hotel due to measures from Krabi province on Covid 19 situation but I am glad to hear that even you were unable to explore the natural beauty of Krabi but you still enjoyed your 5 days 4 nights stay with us at Banyan Tree Krabi. Our hotel offers many complimentary outdoor and indoor activities for the guests to enjoy under the safety and hygiene measures called “Safe Sanctuary”. Our location is the exclusive location with high privacy as we are located on the last piece of beachfront land of the peaceful Tubkaek beach and next to the tropical national park. It provides the serenity, safety and ultimate relaxation. Our guests can reassure on the safety and hygiene policy that we follow strictly as well as enjoy their holiday in the tropical paradise at Banyan Tree Krabi.
Our guests’ safety is always our priority. We followed the order from Krabi province during the pandemic time by closing sit-in restaurants and open only in-room dining to service our guests. I am glad to hear that you had a delicious meals and pleasant time while dining in your own garden at your villa. It is our food and beverage standard that we will deliver the best of our cuisine and service in everywhere including the in-room dining. Booking the hotel was easy, arrival to the hotel simple, parking effortless, slightly understaffed at the front of the hotel on arrival. Hotel was full so we had to wait a few minutes to check in which was no problem. Room was excellent, clean, fresh, and tidy. Swimming pool in our room was brilliant but the water outlet needs to be slightly adjusted as rather noisy. Food and Beverage at the hotel was excellent. We noticed sometimes guests getting a bit lost around the property, so maybe signage could be improved. Finally with no fault of the hotel, and which was quite funny, was that there was a noisy chicken on the neighboring property which could be heard quite often. The female Hotel Manager very visible on the property, helpful and doing a great job. Will definitely return.

I am delighted to read that you had an enjoyable holiday and you were impressed with your 99 sqm Premium Ocean Pool Suite as well as the scenic views from your suite overlooking Andaman Sea. Banyan Tree Krabi offers the range of dining options from contemporary Thai cuisine at Banyan Tree’s signature Thai restaurant at Saffron , International rustic cuisine at The Naga Kitchen to Mediterranean experiences at on the beach bar, Kredkaew Bar, with dramatic sunset view. Our culinary team is more than willing to cater to your specific preferences and I am pleased to read that they were able to create the delightful culinary experience during your visit.
I have taken note of your feedbacks regarding the noise from the in-room water outlet, the signages in the hotel and the understaffed at the front of the hotel. We had a chance to visit this new hotel during passing Songkran 2021 (Apr 13-Apr 17-total 5 days 4 nights. We chose ‘Premium Ocean pool suit’ room type along this stay.

Generally, hotel conditions looked excellent and elegant. Everything is very new as this is about 6 maths from their beginning. Most of their staff are friendly and polite. However, there are some improvements per below;

1. Receptionist - When we checked in on our first day, a staff at reception said that she was assigned to be our ‘assistant’ during this stay with another one hotel mobile that full of hotel information. Firstly, I think this is good initiative that I never met from other hotels. However. At the end, I didn’t feel special or different as I still always press 0 for all supports required and an assigned staff didn’t give us any special support. It can be reconsidered again for this initiative.

2. At hotel entrance, there is only 1 lane to go in and out from hotel. No hotel staff standed by at the entrance to support the traffic. At our arrival day, we stucked at the entrance as there was a car wanted to go out and our car and other 2 more cars wanted to go in without any hotel staff to help. It took at least 15 mins until all cleared with difficulties.

3. House keeper forgot to bring their cleaning equipment back after completed room make up. See attached picture.

4. Hotel ice bucket - no standard for hotel ice bucket. First 2 days, we requested them for ice. They provided with green bucket that surprised me a lot as it looked different with the one in our room that was more luxurious. We asked for their confirmation, they said sorry and confirmed that the green one was not a correct one. However, 2nd time we requested for ice, the green bucket received again. See attached picture.

5. Poor quality afternoon snack - on the 1st day, we received 3 plating balls in a jar but it’s quality was not good. It looked liked they stayed for a long time to served us. See attached. Once I asked the assigned staff, she said this looked normal. All guests received the same thing without any feedback. It made us feel bad from their answer.

6. Air condition in the room broke down- on our 4th day, after our diving trip, we went back and stayed in the room, however, the room is very hot. It seems like no air condition. They took about 2 hrs to recover for us but on this case, they offered compensation to us for free dinner at their restaurant - all inclusive except alchohal drink and free flow at their bar for sunset.

7. On our last day, air conditioned turned down again for 1 hr. with all electrical in the room - only 10 secs. We had nothing to complain on this.

8. On check out date, assigned staff didn’t play the good hospitality. She at her desk, say good bye without walking together like other hotel staff with us at the exit.

9. TV signal was very bad. It was freezes more than 30 times during our time from 8pm to 11 pm. This made us quite disappointed. Hotel manager claimed that it caused by their service provider and during Songkran, this also their holiday then we would face this again. It s true that we faced every nights even we tried to cast from our mobile to hotel TV, it was a little better but we still faced black screen from casting quite often.

10. The make up room staff entered the room for their service without noticing that we pressed ‘do not disturb’ this happened to us on the 2nd day. We out for breakfast with ‘do not disturb’ sign but when we went back to the room, all already cleared. Make up room completed.

11. Welcome msg in TV screen with our wrong of name spell. It is typo for a letter with wrong spell.
12. Welcome drink – We had to requested ourselves for them to serve us welcome dring when we entered our room instead of had it at hotel lobby.

Main improvement is room quality and the assigned staff must be much better for your 5 stars hotel.

All other facilities are excellent. Spa, restaurant and other staff are very impressive

Thank you for your recent stay with us at Banyan Tree Krabi. I am pleased to read that you impressed with the overall hotel’s condition, Banyan Tree Spa, our restaurants, our facilities and attentive service from our associates during your stay last week.
I regret to learn of your displeasure with various aspects of your stay including Banyan Tree Host service, housekeeping service, departure experience, in-room electricity, TV signal, the afternoon turn down service and the entrance of the hotel.
As every guest will be introduced to Banyan Tree Host team who will take care of the guests as the team during their stay to ensure that any of Banyan Tree Host team will be the immediate assistant to all guests’ request 24 hours. I have bought your comment regarding Banyan Tree Host service to the team for their improvement.
For the ice bucket service, room cleaning and water sprayer, they were the mistakes from our team during the high occupancy and I have already shared these with Food and Beverage and House Keeping for their appropriated actions. I have discussed and reviewed with our Kitchen team on their quality check process of the afternoon turn down pastry for them to follow strictly and immediate improvement in order to avoid the unpleasant experience for the guests.
It is unfortunate that the air conditioner in your suite malfunctioned and required repair during your stay. Naturally, instances such as this arise unexpectedly, and it is disappointing that our team had to disturb your relaxation in order to rectify this issue. During last week, we faced the situation of bad signal from our TV signal provider and as it was fallen during Thai New Year holiday, we apologized that it took us for a while to be able to fix the TV signal issues after the TV signal provider returned to their office.
For departure experience, I have talked with Front Office team on the departure ceremony that we should accommodate you and bid farewell till your vehicle left the property. They admitted the mistakes due to high occupancy and that is not the excuse for them to apply our standard departure ceremony strictly for the guests.
Thank you once again for your comments and they are useful for us to improve our services. I hope these incidents you experienced did not mark your overall perception of our brand and our hotel that you will consider Sanctuary for the Senses for your future holiday in Krabi.

Our family stayed in two bedrooms ocean view, the view from the room was stunning. The private pool was big and able to fit 4 ppl at the same time. Since it’s a new hotel, there were some defect but that did not bother us at all as we really enjoyed our room so much and wish we could stayed longer. The service was excellent, when we requested or asked for something, none of our request was turned down. All staff made sure that we were well taken care of. Special shout out to the water sports staff for their exceptional services and to the chef at Naga restaurant , we are vegetarian and he was aware of this so he prepared vegetarian soup for us for the breakfast.

We had a lovely time in the Banyan Tree Krabi but I truly don’t know what is going on with new hotels in Thailand but there is a poorly built and carbon copy vibe going on.
I’ve been in a few and this is the exemplar of the type. It is putting a five star brand with five star staff into (or onto?) a three or four star facility and my prediction is it just isn’t going to hold up to the test of time. A new hotel should be sparkly and immaculate. But here the finishes are poor and very far from high end.
No idea why the company paid the builder – I sure as heck wouldn’t have.
As this was a gash trip we booked a minimum room and it was indeed minimum. The designer should be shot. The bed took up the full room so the seating area at the end was cramped and no way to view the TV. You had to wade through a shallow pool to get to the garden seating area. Furniture is mixed with some already showing wear.
I could nit pick about breakfast – how can you not get hot coffee? Why was the bread borderline stale? No a la carte only buffet.
I could argue that the main pool should be adults only (there is a child friendly area) as one small child (delightful but with equally noisy parents who were less so) contaminated the area.
We had issues with noisy aircon (sorted), TV signal (mixed) and strange pool noises (not investigated).
A bumpy ride.
I’m not sure what else to say. Staff were absolutely top notch – just the best. And we liked our stay. If we had paid full rate it would definitely be a three.

Room tip: Don't get the basic room unless you just want a bed for the night.
