I had a wonderful stay here in February 2020 with my family (myself, husband, 4 yr old & 4 month infant). We had read excellent reviews and weren’t disappointed. The location and setting are absolutely stunning. The property is located in a small village with little else around - we had specifically picked it for this and loved being surrounded by the hills and jungle views. It does mean that you need a scooter or taxis to get around, which wasn’t a problem for us. The property itself has a gorgeous garden and plants which are lovingly looked after by Dang the owner and her staff.

We had booked the 2 bedroom & living room villa which was immaculately clean. The furniture was simple and tasteful and equipped with everything you would need, i.e kettle, fridge etc. We also had a large balcony perfect for relaxing on, doing yoga. My son did lots of drawing there. My husband loved exploring the nearby village and checking out the surrounding area which he did during his regular running. In terms of other activities, there’s a small hike up the nearby Din Daeng Doi mountain which has breathtaking sunrise views. It took us about 30 mins from the villas to get to the top (would certainly take less without 2 young kids).

The food here is tasty, fresh and well presented. Breakfast was included and we were offered Western & Thai options which were prepared freshly for us. Over the week we stayed we had breakfast daily plus at least one other meal and found the bill at the end to be very reasonable. On one of the day’s Dang asked us if we’d like fresh prawns which she picked up a kilo of in the market and roasted, served with seafood sauce. Delicious!

Lastly, I’d like to mention the wonderful hospitality of the owners George and Dang. They were extremely accommodating and went out of their way to make sure we were comfortable. George gave us a ride to one of the nearby beaches one day so that we would know where it was. During meals, Dang would sometimes offer to hold our baby so that my husband and I could enjoy the food while it was hot. Small gestures like this were hugely appreciated and we felt set it apart from other places we’ve stayed. They are a lovely couple and have set up something truly unique at Chanapha.

Absolutely lovely. Only 20 minutes from town or the beaches a tranquil place to relax by the pool or in the beautifully manicured gardens.
The restaurant has a wonderful array of meals on offer, with a daily specials board.
The staff are friendly and helpful.
Well patronised by guests and locals.

George and Deng have designed and built a little bit of paradise at which we stayed for just a couple of nights during our holiday tour of Thailand. It is beautiful and most definitely a labour of love for both of them as they are both very warm and genuine and can’t do enough for you.
The room we stayed in was spacious, clean and very modern. The bed perfectly comfortable.
It is a little away from the beach and main areas but if your adventurous just ask George and he will hire you out a moped so you can go off and explore. If that’s not your bag we’d advise using the ‘Grab’ app, which works like Uber to get you back and forth at no great cost via taxi. On one of the evenings George himself gave us a lift to a restaurant about 10 minutes away and we taxi’d back.
Do give their food a try as well as it is delicious!
Thank you George and Deng, we’ll be back sometime in the future and keep up the good work.

Have just returned from 12 days at the wonderful Chanapha Residence and although I would like to keep this boutique resort secret feel the owners deserve the positive feedback.

So what makes the residence so special? I would describe the residence as being similar to an upscale resort on a much much smaller scale. The attention to detail, service, gardens, hospitality and most importantly food are of the highest quality and could not be improved upon.

The hosts are very attentive and engaging in a very pleasant way and are always around to help ( as much as you want them to be). Although the location is not in a tourist area (good thing in my view) the best beaches and more toursit areas are only a 15 minute drive away on very easy to navigate roads. All your needs are catered for with the onsite bar and restaurant and because the food was such high quality we preffered to spend as much time as possible on sight in the beautiful location to try out the whole menu !!

What a great place and cannot wait to go back

We visit only the restaurant, and our food was very nice prepared and tasty. The menu is well selected and offers also specialities of the western kitchen.
The hosts are very friendly, after we found out they offer also little villas and rooms, they showed us the hold arrea, which is beautiful surrounded of tropical Forrest and limestone hills. Definitely the right place for a relaxing time.
See you again for original yummy thai food
