We were very pleased with the accommodations and the location. Villa Wave Dance is within walking distance from restaurants, downtown and misc stores.
We ate dinner out every night. Every meal was excellent. (We had two picky eaters with us and we always found a place to go that they also enjoyed).
The weather, perfect. While it rained two days, the other days we had, were perfect temperature, the beach was clean, quiet, and best of all, a minute away from our Villa.
Loved that we rented two Villas, Wave Dance 11 and Wave Dance 12. It allowed for each of us to have our own rooms, and allowed for privacy when needed.
Kristin, our host, was very responsive. Very much appreciated that.
Ana, the lady that cleaned the Villas, was very friendly, professional and considerate.
The gentleman that cleaned the pool (sorry, did not get his name); was very professional as well.
Loved Cabarete Coffee Company and so did everyone in our party of 5. We went three times in 7 days.
Iguana Mama, while we were not able to do the kayaking trip we planned because it rained, their promptness and service was second to none.
Casa de Papi had the best shrimp I have had in a while. Yalla tapas were absolutely delicious. Gorditos Tex Mex was great, too. All of it at reasonable dollar prices.
We are already looking forward to another international trip. Great experience.
My wife, myself and our two kids aged six and four stayed in Villa Wavedance for three weeks. We were very happy to find that the villa matched the description and photos and we had a wonderful stay.
The condition of the villa isn't top notch and it could use some minor renovation here and there. However, that didn't bother us and it was well compensated by the wonderful ocean view and the great pool which we enjoyed each and every day.
The villa is located in a nice gated community called Bahia de Arena located 1-2 kilometers outside central Cabarete. We liked the area and felt very safe. For us with small children we lacked a playground but other than that the area was perfect.
The closest grocery store (La Rosa) is located about 500 meters away. However, I recommend hiring a driver to go to the much larger store Playero in Sosua for a larger supply and imported goods.
The property manager Maria and especially the maid did a great job in making our stay great. The only thing that could have made the service even better would have been some written information and/or map describing where to locate grocery stores and the likes. However, all we had to do was ask Maria.
Getting to the villa was very convenient thanks to the service of a driver (Juan) recommended to us by the property manager.
If you are looking for a villa for two families or one large extended family this villa is probably perfect for you. If you are one family of 3-5 people, like us, I'd still wholeheartedly recommend renting this villa although the price/value might not be as good given that it's a duplex villa made for larger groups.
Disclaimer: We rented the villa just after it having been sold to the current owner. Therefore things may change as the new owner and property manager puts their own touch to the place.
