Overall this was a solid 4 property for the following reasons~
Pros: Very close to Ngorongoro Crater, lovely grounds, fresh roasted coffee daily, friendly staff, many “farm” activities as well as walks around the property. Great location for a night of rest from safaris but could get boring beyond that. Farm to table food is excellent quality. Property management is installing a new infinity pool.

Cons: Room was very dated and worn. Mattress sunk in the middle BUT in fairness, management addressed this issue straight away with a thick mattress pad. It’s great they are investing in a pool but they should probably install new windows in the cottages as there is a huge opening between the screen and the window which would allow snakes or other bugs to crawl inside. Granted I did NOT experience this (I have one more night here) but it’s a real possibility to consider when choosing to leave the windows open. I also wish they would get on board with the camps we stayed at while in Kenya and rid themselves and the planet of unnecessary plastic by installing a water filtering system for drinking and handing out reusable water bottles to guests. They can attach their name and logo info for some free advertisement as a bonus.

A very night place to rest from intensive safaris on an extended African adventure.

Facility is very picturesque and beds are comfortable and rooms are large.

Views are green and their are many activities available.

Staff is friendly.

Internet is challenging but hey we are in a safari. Perhaps spoiled by some previous lodges.

Good food raised in the farm.

Fresh roasted coffee every morning.

Our travel agent knew there was something special about Gibbs Farm when she booked us for 2 Nights at this Lodge not far from the Ngorongoro Crater. The words to describe the place are understated no matter what they say. Landscaping, food, service, friendliness, professionalism and luxury. Be sure to stay more than 1 night as you will not want to leave!

We sadly only had one night - should have stayed longer. Absolutely stunning setting, so relaxing. Excellent service, food, wine etc. Beautiful spacious rooms. We never did any of the activities so cannot comment on that. Lovely and peaceful.

Beautiful place to stay in terms of rooms and surroundings. Very friendly and attentive staff. Liked the all inclusive program. Great views from many locations including our porch. The place is very attentive to the environment and has wonderful plantings around the grounds. One challenge is the dirt road drive to get to the property.
