Overall this was a solid 4 property for the following reasons~
Pros: Very close to Ngorongoro Crater, lovely grounds, fresh roasted coffee daily, friendly staff, many “farm” activities as well as walks around the property. Great location for a night of rest from safaris but could get boring beyond that. Farm to table food is excellent quality. Property management is installing a new infinity pool.
Cons: Room was very dated and worn. Mattress sunk in the middle BUT in fairness, management addressed this issue straight away with a thick mattress pad. It’s great they are investing in a pool but they should probably install new windows in the cottages as there is a huge opening between the screen and the window which would allow snakes or other bugs to crawl inside. Granted I did NOT experience this (I have one more night here) but it’s a real possibility to consider when choosing to leave the windows open. I also wish they would get on board with the camps we stayed at while in Kenya and rid themselves and the planet of unnecessary plastic by installing a water filtering system for drinking and handing out reusable water bottles to guests. They can attach their name and logo info for some free advertisement as a bonus.More
