A nice place to visit if you have a day to fill from Arusha or half a day from Moshi. Quite a distance off the main Arusha - Moshi road on a not very well maintained dirt road. Once there, you can take a dip in the pools formed by the hot (actually more like lukewarm) springs. Some good local food "chipsmayai" on offer. All in all, a nice place to visit.

Kikuletwa hot springs is a beautiful oasis, about an hour and a half from Moshi. It's not that far but the road leading from Boma is extremely slow and bumpy. It's 10,000Tsh to get in which I think is a reasonable price. As plenty of other people have said, it's not hot, but given the weather it was lovely. We went on a Tuesday and there were a couple of other groups using it but it wasn't packed (and was empty over lunchtime).

There are ladders to help you get in and out, or a rope swing if you're feeling more adventurous. There is good and drink available but we'd brought our own lunch so I don't know about it's value or quality. There small fish which nibble your feet, which is a very strange but not unpleasant feeling!

Overall I would recommend visiting

The water is not hit in anyway shape or form. It is a nice swimming hole however. On a hot day it is a nice place to spend some time.
