Description: Route 57 Restaurant, is a Louis Oosthuizen, the 2010 Open Champion themed Restaurant in Mossel Bay. In 2000, Louis played his lowest round of golf at Mossel Bay Golf Club - a 57 gross (15 under par) - You can see his score card in the lounge area. In life we are always on the road to somewhere and so Route 57 was born. This would not have been possible without the support and input of our family and friends. We want to thank them all for making this possible. The hand of our Heavenly Father is behind us to protect us, below us to carry us, in front of us to lead us and most of all in us to create Route57. We thank Him for what He has blessed us with and bless you for what you are about to enjoy at Route 57.

Went there twice during our short stay in Mossel Bay. Good food and staff were attentive and very friendly. Definitely worth a visit if you are ever in Mossel Bay.

In our group of four, three decided on the oven baked hake. After placing the order the owner came to our table and apologised that she did not fetch the hake because she was ill.
She said they had the "Grunt"?? fish available. We accepted this as replacement.
I did not enjoy the fish and mentioned this to our waiter. The fish tasted old as if kept too long in the fridge. The owner did not visit our table again.
The coffee in the Irish coffee was weak. Again I did mention this to Bronwynn, our waiter. Again nothing was done about this.
I accept that fish is not one of your famous meals, but then take it off your menu. And please ...to mess up an Irish!! Service was good.
We won't take visitors again.

This restaurant is fine dining at its best. The service, food quality and atmosphere is fabulous. Prices are not rediculous and the variety of meals on offer is good. They have an excellent wine selection as well as a good variety of other drinks available. Give it a visit you will not regret it.
