We strolled over to the brewery and were pleasantly surprised. The service was great, the beer cold and good. It seems like a populat spot.

If you are feeling peckish order something from the Meerkat Deli....try the cheese platter, it's a great pairing with the beer and you won't be disappointed.

As a regular visitor to G-R I was pleasantly surprised to find this hidden gem. We enjoyed a few fabulous Red Ale Draughts in the lovely courtyard. There were unfortunately none of the other beers available for us to try. We also enjoyed a great meal. A definite recommendation when staying in town. We will have to go back to try the other beers.
Pity the signage outside is not bigger and bolder so people can see where this fabulous spot is.

We found this lovely courtyard pub surrounded by boutique shops and a deli to die for, on Kerk [Church] St. Set under a jacaranda tree, they serve Cederberg beers and their own GRT brew. I tried all the beers, and all are excellent. But the GRT red ale is quite outstanding. It's a must-drink. Couple that with the best cheese platter that we've had from the deli [R100] and you'll move in for as long as you can :).

Stopped by for breakfast and a pint (I'm on holiday, don't judge ;) ). The GRT ale is refreshing with a hint of bitterness and great on a late sunny morning. Also had the breakfast omelette from the associated deli and it was large enough for two! Delicious too. All in all a serendipitous find near the center of town.

Stopped for a quick sample. The bijou bar is beautifully decorated and very cosy. The inside is supplemented by seating in a sunny calm outdoor courtyard.

Sunny friendly greeting, but not too much explanation on the types of beers available. Decent choices of gin on offer for my non beer drinking companion.

Had a GRT, very pleasant and welcome on a hot day. Food is available from the Meerkat Deli if you want a snack.
