The bathroom had no hot water, the toilet would make loud noises when flushing. The telephone and fridge in the room did not work. We had a small television with rubbish channels...we had had to frequently walk back to the reception requesting them to send maintaince to our room.
The food is standard, nothing to.look forward to.
The staff is very polite, but under trained and slow service.
Not worth your money!!

Kaskazi beach hotel is beautiful with a perfect location and the friendliest staff you could want,but sad to say they don't keep to their promises and they not maintaining the place.
Firstly we were a group of 6,on their website they mention free transfer from the hotel, we emailed them a number of times from SA but unfortunately got absolutely no response from them up to this day.
While we were there we asked to see the reservations manager, he didn't even have the decency to come in front.

Secondly on arrival we were taken to our room we were upgraded to a sea view room with no extra cost but there was no telephone, fridge and TV so we were taken to another room.
We settled in unpacked our bags put the extra food in the fridge and all was well
The next morning, went in for a shower and guess what there's no pressure in the water, you literally have to stand against the wall to wet your hair and that not easy if you have long hair
We complained and nothing was done about it.
Lunch time got to the fridge to have something to eat, food was gone off the fridge was not working,complained and nothing happened until Ms Josephine the cleaning lady told her supervisor about it and it got sorted 2 days later. Hats off to Ms Josephine doing more than what she's suppose to do.

If the management of Kaskazi can stop sitting at their desk all day and do something mayby this place can find its former glory again

We see that there were positives gleaned from your stay, along with some inconveniences that were experienced. We are sorry to learn of these issues, and we have addressed them in detailed. The hotel has made tremendous management changes as from early January, and we are now rectifying all these issues that have been brought to us. We appreciate you bringing them to our attention, as we continually strive to improve.

Terrible! Service is awful! 4 hours since arrival at hotel and still no room. The food ordered from the snack bar took over an hour to arrive and was inedible. Bar staff were incredibly rude! Rooms need serious updating. Do yourself a favour and don't ruin your holiday by staying here.

Owners - sort yourselves out! No wonder

This is a large hotel complex with a rather nice open pool. The rooms are generous, however, there was a bad smell outside our room coming from the drains. The worst part was that the room was infested with mosquitos. We requested an insecticide and we had to spray and leave the room for some time before we could return. The shower was barely dripping with water and there were no face towels. Breakfast was average. The hotel was basically suffering from the low number of guests, it virtually looked empty. The beach is just a stone throw away but did not look very inviting. Large very empty spaces everywhere. We switched off the AC unit for sleep but we could get vibrations and noise from adjoining units. All in all, a very average experience.

We thank you for taking the time to review our beautiful property and appreciate all feedback as it guides us to make the changes necessary to ensure that all our guests are completely satisfied while staying with us.

The experience you are sharing is not at all the norm of Kaskazi Beach Hotel and we apologize for the inconveniences that came up while staying with us and trust us in we do whatever possible to resolve the matter as efficiently and effortlessly as possible.

The issue of the mosquitoes was address earlier this year, and we brought it professionals to handle the matter. Though we cant eliminate mosquitoes completely from our property due to the huge garden areas, their has been significant improvement. That is what we strive for.

Please let us know if you are to return as I would love to personally ensure that your next stay is completely successful. We look forward to welcome you again in our beautiful hotel.

We live on the North Coast and just came down for a few days break.
Check-in procedure smooth and easy.
Only had breakfast in the Hotel as we prefer to eat out and try different restaurants.
Breakfast was okay but by the 3rd day became repetitive and boring.
Beds were not the most comfortable.
Hotel is very clean and airy.
Staff were the highlight and extremely friendly and helpful..

On the breakfast part, I'm pleased to inform you that we have brought in a top chef from the Sunny Miami Beach top hotels. He has won numerous chef awards, and has now brought great changes in our F&B area. When you get a chance, please cross the ferry and come have a special meal with us.
