It has potential

3.0 of 5 bubblesReviewed 27 Jan 2022via mobile
All in all the staff was friendly, it has great potential if only appliances could be upgraded... Although the WiFi was working it could be better bt maybe that's the network provider's issue.... The air-conditioning wasn't working and there was only one type of socket i couldn't charge my PC coz it had different pins... And the bathrooms too they're functional but they really need a makeover as well but besides that i had a peaceful stay
Date of stay: January 2022
Room Tip: Bring an adapter, it only offers one channel... But it's a beautiful place

The location is central to the town amenities. The hotel needs a little tender love and care. The staff though young have the potential to be hospitable with experience. Would recommend for budget short stays.

Really enjoyed our stay there. We were traveling for business so the fact that it was based very close to the city center made it such a pleasure.

The rooms are clean and have basic DSTV. The wifi worked well and I was able to get quite a bit of work done on line.

We enjoyed our evening drinks on the deck and enjoyed the peacefully setting facing a simple garden. We had breakfast in the dinning room in the morning which was very good.

All round loved the location and the service.

We are in Francistown frequently for business and if available we will stay here from now on.

The place is nice. The rooms are cosy but just a little dated.I got a bit nostalgic because a lot has not changed. The pool is amazing. The stuff is really good. The food is good. The place needs a face-lift thats all.

Room tip: it has camping grounds. So if you passing by francistown with a tent, P100 gets you a safe place to sleep.

A little concerned when we arrive at TRL, the main gate and parking seemed very run down. Greeted by helpful staff and were quickly checked in.
Off on the hunt to find our rooms. The site is very large with different style rooms all over the place, lucky we were not walking around with heavy bags.

The room was large but aged. Bathroom needs updating and it would have been nice if the TV had a functioning remote.

When I travel I'm more concerned with the feeling I get from a place above all the other standard measures by which people review places of interest and so I loved Tati River Lodge for having rooms that give a feeling of cosiness and a general ambience. I especially loved the buffet dinner though- the meats were just amazing- the beef especially was on point !!(I hear it's because of the type of grass the cattle have). The rooms were also clean and there were a couple of channels one could browse through (I didn't check if it was a full bouquet though) Their WiFi down time however was terrible and for this reason I was unable to do certain things I would have loved to do over the Internet while I was there. The staff is friendly even across the language barrier and it helped that they are located fairly close to the CBD.

I think it's great for conferences and shopping/ tourist visits to the country but until they fix their wifi situation, may not be ideal for people seeking to do virtual business away from home.
