The Hilltop chalets are situated high on the hilltop with spectacular views from the dining area. The accommodation was excellent and our chalet was in the middle of a forest with plenty of bird life to be seen and heard. The swimming pool was in excellent condition and was very welcome as the temperature in March can be in the 30C. The game drives were very rewarding and we saw the big 5 on our first day. A highly recommended wildlife experience.

Excellent game viewing and saw elephant, many sightings of white rhino [some only metres away] and two herds of buffalo [one crossing the road in front of us]. Roads generally in good condition. Never saw any cats, but that was probably due to the fact that we were in the reserve from 09h00 to about 17h00. We want to return and stay in the reserve for a few days within the next few years, and hopefully go on an evening game drive.

We had excellent sightings of elephant, rhino, buffalo, giraffe, will dog, and others. Stayed at Masinda Lodge - very spacious and isolated.

Beautiful country with a lot of game easy enough to see, if you take your time and are patient. We met a poacher patrol which brought home the real work going on behind the scenes. Recommend an SUV if going to lodges or of gthe main tarmac road.
