I had to give this property full stars. it's situated in middle of no where, and still so beautifully designed to create an experience of luxury and tranquility.

They have everything you wish for in such place ( of course don't ask for everything you want to prove me wrong later on!). I landed up during one of the survey trip and lucky to be there in such beautiful weather.

The best thing about it is, space the rooms and interiors have. You can't afford a good hotel in some african cities in same price, while this was a luxury redefined in a jungle. Plus they provide with all amenities to fulfill your stay as a comfort as it can get. And with 24 hours service, wifi, and hotwater and security, it definitely scores better to all properties i have managed to stay till date.

Staff is nice and with a sense of humor, running in those women across the desk. I liked how they had smiling faces all throughout, giggling and enjoying their work. This just makes you feel good as well.

Dining area was comfortable, with 3 different sets ups and a bar area, to have your taste buds experience difference in case you prefer to stay longer (i stayed just one night). And even food was great taste and with ample of dishes to choose from.

Room had a aircon, teamaker, ample lights and space as a king size suite, with each chalet made out of local wood and grass, making you feel the real lodge experience, although the first thing we look for is a charging point and it was there. And a wonderful "open-shower" area and a bathtub over looking the window...you can actually enjoy and relax all by yourself ( if only i could enjoy it).

Check in and check out is a bit time consuming since they need to tally everything, but they accept cards and foreign currency, which was a way better thing than many hotels.

Room Tip: Ask for chalets, you will enjoy the feel!

We arrived late into Nata from Maun, just after dark. We only had one night then it was off to Kasane the next morning. We booked the safari tent room, which was a large wooden platform with a more or less permanent canvas tent on top. Inside the rooms were very comfortable and we really enjoyed the feeling of being on safari. Lots of space and clean. And the outdoor shower was to die for. Water was strong and hot and was great after a long day driving.

Restaurant was very busy for dinner and the food was good quality, but maybe not quite to our taste. Breakfast was very good and had a lot of choices of cold options and a hot breakfast.

A short drive from the lodge is the Nata Bird Sanctuary where we visited in the morning. Although maybe not a major attraction, it is conveniently close and had a good variety of birds and animals to see with still plenty of time to get to Kasane.

Bustards Birding Tours stayed at Nata Lodge en route from Johannesburg to Kasane. It of course meant we had to have a pre-breakfast visit to Nata Sanctuary. The service we received was excellent, the birding was excellent too. The lady travelling with me forgot her top in her room, only discovering this once we were in Kasane - between Nata and Chobe Safari Lodge staff, the ladies managed to get the top sent to Kasane, and since we had already moved on to Katima Mulilo, secured a driver who was on his way there to meet up and get it back to its owner. Fabulous! We had written off any hope of getting it back, so imagine the relief. Top marks to staff at both lodges.

My wife and I spent one night in their "serengati" style chalets which had an amassing outdoor shower, lovely bathtub, a lovely queen size bed and the chalet enough space to unpack all your bags. The balcony faces into the bushed however if you look left and right you will see identical chalets next to you, fortunately the spacing does give you some sense of privacy. It is a lovely place and we are already planning our trip back.

They have a lovely pool and bar area too.

The only negative thing was the diner menu isnt 100% accurate, I ordered a beef curry and they brought me a beef stew.

.

Room Tip: Any one of the Chalets.

Campsite grounds are well maintained, sand only but always swept. Bathrooms were clean and always stocked, always warm showers. Service staff were friendly, knowledgeable and effective, even offered to phone the hardware store when I was looking for something. Food was good, prices very reasonable. Pool was a winner, and very well situated. Card services and facility for a tab made money very easy to manage. The drive through the salt flats was amazing as well, well worth seeing.
