i already forgot how many times i been in la gran sabana, being the first time when i was just 7 years old. if you are going to south america to explore machu-pichu, visit iguazu falls, trek the patagonia, you definitely has to go and explore la gran sabana. even now that the country is not in its best, the area still pretty safe with a lot of foreigners visiting year long. there are a lot of tours operators with great packages, but i still thinking the best way to know the area is by 4x4, motorcycle or bicycle.

Another world, mistique and scary at night.
I think is one of the gratest places on Earth!
Take a chance to see it, stop on the way and look arround.
If you travel to Brazil - you gona pass Gran Sabana.
Your way would pass by Santa Elena de Uairen. From that point you getting to the border with Brazil, all trips to Roraima start there too, you can also paraglide there.

Dont miss it.

Amazing experience and also hard trip took 3 days up and 2 days down, but was differently worth it. Would do it again.

We took a complete day to reach this park and another to get back to civilisation. I think I must be missing something reading other people's reviews as I didn't think it was worth all the travelling to get to. I would have preferred spending additional days at Hato el Cedra or Canaima. Some scenery was very nice and the accomodation was OK but it wasn't so special that I would revisit.
