Of course with Rapa Nui being so small, you don't want to miss any of it but this is definitely the must-see place. Numerous huge heads are sticking out of the hillside with their bodies buried beneath, the largest moa of the island. You will gasp in awe at the view. You can also marvel at how the statues were carved right out of the stones with primitive tools. Be sure to wear sure-footed sneakers as there is much up and down climb on uneven stone stairways which can be very hazardous in the strong winds and frequent downpours there.
