We really enjoyed our stay at the cottage. It is just minutes from the town centre and all its pubs tea rooms and hotel restaurants. You park right outside the front door. The cottage is very comfortable with a fully equipped kitchen, nice bathroom with a bath and over shower. There is plenty of cupboard space in the bedrooms. It has central heating and a gas fire, so very cosy. Jeff made us very welcome and explained how things worked. The sky wifi was a bit on off at times, but we managed fine. We only took our car out once the whole week as there are plenty of walks straight from your door. Would love to return in the future

“Exactly the kind of place you want to come back to after a day of exploring.”
Reviewed 2 October 2013 for a stay in September 2013

This little cottage is exactly what we needed to make our short stay in Crickhowell all the more enjoyable. Jeff and Jane immediately made us feel very welcome, and let us know that should we need anything they would always be close by. We were in Crickhowell for an event called Tough Mudder, and after a long and tiring day we were very grateful to be able to have a hot shower, cook ourselves a warm meal and sit back to watch a dvd in the living room.

You can spend the evening at the local pub or rent a dvd and order some take away chinese food, then crash in one the very comfortable beds available. There's a lot to see and do in Crickhowell, and I'd definitely love to go back to Crud-yr-Awel, for a little longer next time!

“Great location”
Reviewed 9 September 2013 for a stay in July 2013

This was a great find in a lovely small town opposite the Bear Hotel in Crickhowell. Situated in a cul de sac, cottage had spacious living room with TV and bathroom and double bedroom. 2nd small bedroom had bunk bed and bottom could turn into small double. Travel Cot was provided foc. Very helpful leaflets about the area in the cottage and lots of clean towels available. Nice to be able to come back and have a selection of pubs/restaurants on our door step. Bakery around the corner for our morning treats. Plenty of walks and nice drives around this beautiful area. (some are buggy friendly) Jeff will be closeby to recommend them! Very homely accomodation and would return again.

“Excellent centre for exploring the Brecon Beacons”
Reviewed 23 June 2013 for a stay in May 2013

A well appointed extremely comfortable cottage close to the centre of Crickhowell. We have always received a warm welcome from Jeff and Jane which is reflected in the fact we have returned on 5 occasions.

Thank you,

Jayne and Tommy (Teaspoons) Thomas
