I have just spent the may bank holiday weekend here on a camping pitch with electric.
2 adults and 4 kids, ranging from 4 to 13 years of age.
The place itself is situated pretty much perfectly.
4 mins drive to the town, or a 30 min stroll along the prom.
Depending on what your interests are, you can do pretty much anything in the area, in less than an hours drive.
From sunbathing (weather depending, obviously. It is Wales after all...) to epic walks, then to all types of fishing and pretty much every extreme sport known to man, up to and including quad biking, climbing, longest and fastest zip wire in Europe, flying experience's, white water rafting, surfing and so on....

You get amazing views of the snowdonia mountain range and of the beautiful llyn peninsula (the sea and land).
All the amenities you need on site, a little shop that sells all the basics you need.
There is plenty of well maintained/clean toilets and free clean and spacious showers on site.
It's a family and couples orientated site so it's suitable to sit up being sociable till a reasonable hour (once the little ones are settled) but is pleasantly firm about people 'taking the mick', so works out well for those of us that are of a respectful manner.

2-10 minutes walk to the beach (depending on which end of the site you are on)

And finally, the staff....
.... They are horrible, so unhelpful and downright rude!
Lol ^ this could not be any further from the truth!
All the staff we dealt with were brilliant!
From booking dealings on the phone and face to face in the office, to bringing round bin bags for rubbish and taking the full ones for us in the site vehicles.
Every single member of staff had a smile on their face all the time and would go out of their way to see you were fixed up with what you needed.
We even had a curry delivered to our tent on our last night as we had indulged in too much wine to drive to pop and pick it up. So an extra special mention goes out to Jamie from 'O'Gradys taxi's' (who also works as part of the very helpful and lovely staff team on site during the early hours, the day and the evening)

Thanks for making our short break such a lovely one.

We were only meant to stay for 3 nights but ended up staying for 5.
We would have stayed for longer but work commitments meant we couldnt
We will be back for sure and will recommend to everyone we know and also those that we don't.
We genuinely cannot praise this place enough.
If you fancy this area of North Wales and want to caravan or camp, then this is the place to stay in our opinion.

Thanks again guys and girls.

Simon and the family.

See you all again soon :-)

I have never stayed at a site where the staff are so friendly and helpful, the pitches are a good size, clean and well serviced. The facilities are first class and are regularly cleaned.
Excellent location for those wishing to use cycles with really well signed routes around the area.
We will return

First time at this site. On the whole we had a great 3 days, the weather was fabulous which always helps!
We were given a pitch towards the end of the park - good hook up, water & refuse facilities but a little walk to the toilets & showers. All ok, could do with a spruce up but water was hot & free...
Great access to the beach which is fabulous and the walk into town is very pleasant. The only gripe we had was over freezing of freezer blocks. Went in to shop with a bag of 6 blocks and was charged 50p a block - I assumed that would include a loan of their blocks but was told that would be another 50p a block.....£6.00 on top of £39 a night we were already paying..... I have never been to another site where we have been charged to use freezing facilities...and I wouldn't really object if they charged 20p a block - 50p seems a lot on top of £39.00 paid per night.

first time at this site and we were not disappointed. The staff were the most helpful and friendliest we have ever encountered. The site was very well maintained and spotless, easy access to Barmouth via 15 min walk along the sea front or by a very reasonably priced on site taxi. There is a train line that runs at the back of the site along the sea front bit dont be put off by it, to be honest it was my biggest concern but it didnt bother us at all A site well worth staying at

Thank you for your review - really lovely to read at the end of an exceptionally busy week. The staff have been under pressure due to the prolonged gorgeous weather and they're all still smiling. So much to smile for with reviews like yours. Appreciated.
