We had a fantastic three course evening meal here and the friendliness of the welcome matches the great food. We ate fish dishes which were not only superbly cooked and presented but they represented excellent value that we had not experienced at pricier neighbours. The restaurant itself is small but family friendly. The only small downside is that tables near the door get very cold every time it opens which is regularly due to its popularity. We would definitely recommend especially for those that enjoy sea food.

Went here with friends yesterday for Sunday lunch. Three course Sunday lunch £13.95. The menu was was very good with a variety of choices. We were expecting small portions, but when the food arrived it was a healthy sized portion that was presented really well. The staff were pleasant and chatty and nothing was too much for them. A good time was had by all.

Seated at a cosy table by the fire, we were made to feel very welcome. We were soon chatting with other diners in this intimate little place. Service was excellent and our food (mushroom topped with cranberry and brie; scallops with chorizio; mains: chicken served with green pepper corn, brandy and french mustard sauce; steak) was all perfectly cooked.

An excellent Sunday lunch both the roast pork and mushroom stroganoff. Complementing side dish if fresh veg. Don't usually have a pudding but it is Christmas. Sticky toffee pudding and the meringue were well presented and tasted great. In all a lovely lunch for Christmas Eve.

Lovely place, great service and really nice food.
We hadn't been before or read any reviews but were a bit stuck on where to make reservations - we're happy nowhere else could fit us in as this was a great find!!!
