My family and I were in a trip towards Ireland and decided to stop ,close from the Snowdonian National Park. We selected this property from the late 19th century because of its character as well as its location, close to some of the nicest sightseeing in the UK, medieval castles (Farlech) and impressive nordic beaches. The house has a lot of character and keeps the style and character but kitchen and toilets have been completely modernized whilst respecting the charm.
The owners live there and keep the place lovely. Garden and woods are incredible. They rent one side of the house so you have full independence but still they are close by for advice. They helped us to select where to eat and what places to visit taking in count time and weather perspective. They were very kind.
It's also appropriate if you look for space and comfortable place to relax and prepare your own food. As we have two kids and one baby, really helps if tired from exploring. The house has plenty of games, including a great pool table. And you can walk directly from the property for some lovely walks.
If you want to stay in a special place, both in terms of property and location, I would highly recommend it.
We stayed here for 5 days in August. The accommodation was as described with everything perfectly suited for a family holiday. Comfortable and spacious rooms, all well thought out.
Lovely walks on the doorstep which the dog was pleased with.
Hosts are fantastic, providing assistance and information when needed.
The dog didn't want to get in the car to leave.
I recently stayed here with friends, following a glowing recommendation and it did not disappoint.
The accommodation is a charming Victorian house, set in a couple of acres of beautifully manicured gardens, with plenty of big rooms. We had a comfortable bed and a lovely view.
Snowdonia is one the most beautiful places on earth and we got to explore it on the many walks we went on - starting just moments from the property - thanks to the advice from our hosts.
The main draw for this place and what compelled me to write this review this place is the breathtaking scenery moments from the front door. A short walk (literally 3 minutes) took us to one of the most beautiful sights I've ever seen. A few paces through the bushes and you come to a clearing perched on the top of the estuary with the most wonderful view of Snowdonia. I will be going back for a variety of reasons, but number one is to see that view again!
I recently stayed at Farchynys Hall with a group of friends for a weekend escape from London. Mike and Gretta were fantastic hosts who made us feel extremely welcome and gave us lots of information about the local area/places to visit (such as walks, castles and idyllic coastal towns). The accommodation was so comfortable, with lots of space for a group of six, and the gardens surrounding the house were beautiful. I'm already looking forward to another trip there again - thank you for having us!

What a stunning Weekend!! Cannot recommend highly enough. From start to finish Mike And Gretta were fantastic hosts, making us feel at home and recommending ideas to enhance our stay! With the picturesque surroundings of North Wales on the doorstep it is the prefect base to explore the area! The house itself is liking stepping back in History and the beds so comfortable it is hard to actually try and get up, the food was plentiful and delicious and nothing was too much Trouble. If you are lucky and Gretta is in a good mood you may even be treated to her homemade Treacle Sponge!
