Ardmair house is stunning. It has everything you need and more for a relaxing holiday. Space and comfort. It's what room to pick which is the hardest decision all beautiful. The view over the bay is breathtaking. We travelled all around the area trying all the great places to eat. Route 500 is a must do. Definitely an unforgettable holiday for us.

“Simple Perfect”
Reviewed 1 February 2017 for a stay in February 2017

There are simply not enough superlatives to describe this Highland retreat. If complete luxury with a sprinkling of magic is what you are looking for then this is definitely the place for you. The house itself is truly stunning; it is wonderfully spacious, very tastefully decorated and caters for your every need. The owners have a great eye for detail which adds a real authenticity to your stay - even the crockery is from the local pottery. The house itself is nestled on the side of Ardmair Bay overlooking Ben Mor Coigach - a view that teases you daily as the different weather conditions produce a constantly changing scene - it is breath taking and something that you can never tire of looking at. The location is brilliant; it's peaceful yet just a few miles from Ullapool and also right in the heart of a fabulous outdoor playground. And after youve tired yourself out exploring the local area you have the relaxing pleasure of steaming away the evening in the hottub whilst gazing at the stars. On top of that Alison and Alistair have been superb and are genuinely lovely people; they have assisted us with the bookings and only been a phone call away if ever we needed them; truly first class owners with a first class house. There is just one downside to staying at Ardmair Bay House and that is the realisation that at some point you will have to tear yourself away from this precious gem and head home to reality! We've stayed here a few times now and each time it just keeps getting harder and harder!

“The best of the best....”

After more than 30 years of of staying in 'cottages, gites, villas, and houses' I've found the one that all others should aspire to be. This is a very high quality self catering accommodation. The house and its location are perfect. The house itself is architecturally balanced;
it flows from one end to the other. The equipment, soft furnishings, linen and electronics are the best, not to mention the ice maker and the hot tub. The 'welcome pack' and post holiday follow up was absolutely first class. I certainly want another visit in 2017. I hope that there is a week left for us after you've all read my review!

“Fabulous house in a fabulous setting.”

Second time round still excellent.
Imagine staying somewhere where you can phone and get a fresh catch of prawns five minutes walk away and then BBQ them in your back garden before taking a plunge in the hot tub. This is truly a heaven in the most incredible setting.

“Great house, great location”

Fabulous house with nice big windows and loads of space, and with fabulous views. Obviously there is very little that the owners have not considered on behalf of their guests. We were delighted with the unexpected 'goodies' on arrival - what a treat - thank you so much!! We would recommend this property to anyone.
It has been several years since we last visited this area of Scotland, and it was nice to re-acquaint ourselves with the landscape, views and walks. For eating out, needless to say that The Seaforth is very popular, with good food and beer, and helpful staff. For something different try the Waterfront bar at the Royal Hotel, which offers good simple food with good value for money (& and excellent range of numerous whiskies). Finally, try the Lochinver Deli (aka The Pie Shop) - pies 'to die for'!
