“Home from home”
Reviewed 24 August 2015 for a stay in August 2015

Can't praise it enough. We have stayed in quite a few rentals over the years but this is the best to date. Clean and well equipped, books, dvd's, games, it has the lot - the kitchen would satisfy the best chef - yes, the knives are sharp :-)
But best of all is the setting - wow, just wow!

“Perfect place to relax”

We have just spent two wonderful weeks at Runie Lodge. From the very warm welcome on arrival - with the most delicious lemon muffins - to the excellent facilities - comfortable beds, log burner, 1000s of DVDs & CDs, luxury bathroom and everything you could ever need in the beautiful kitchen - everything was perfect as a base to explore from, or just to spend time relaxing together. We loved Runie Lodge and it was really hard to pack up and head south again...

“Comfortable and well-equipped house in great location”

Very comfortable, spacious and well-equipped house 10 mins drive north of Ullapool; great location for climbing all the local hills (you can walk up Ben Mor Coigach from the house), canoeing down the river and fishing. If the weather's bad there is a huge selection of DVDs, plus books and games that kept us all (even teenagers) happily occupied. Big garden good for ball games, and the river's at the bottom of the garden. Friendly and helpful owners next door. Thoroughly recommend this holiday house.

“Lovely place”

This is a lovely five bed house ten minutes from Ullapool, in a nice peaceful setting. There is a huge selection of DVDs to keep you occupied if the weather gets too Scottish. The kitchen is big and well-equipped and the whole place has bags of character.

Management Response

Thanks for the review. It was a pleasure meeting you Olivier, Christelle, Corinne and Christophe. We were amazed by how much cycling you all did around this mountainous area! Glad that you enjoyed Runie Lodge and all the facilities, when you have more mountains to cycle we'd love to welcome you back.
