I have been ambling up and down the hills and mountains of Scotland and the Alps since I was but a nipper. This is one of the most accessible, picturesque and satisfying mountains around. However, do not attempt to walk the main corrie route unless you know what you are doing. The navigation up to the lip of the corrie is easy, but it is committed, steep and dangerous for the last 50m or so.
We went to see the sunrise and sunset. We saw cloud, rain and sleet. It was august. Take good kit and enjoy. Then go and see Glen Etive.
