“Excellent Location, Spacious and Cosy Cottage”
Reviewed 12 September 2015 for a stay in September 2015

Wow I loved this place.
Great views. Big landscaped back garden. With several places to sit, including a sunhouse and decking at the back. I also liked the seats tucked right in the corner at the back which offered a secluded view of the back garden.

Gate from the garden leads to the beach which is a few metres away.
The front over looks the harbour and there are seats to enjoy the veiw here.

The cottage is very well equiped with everything you need.
Also lots of books and guides. The decor is quirky and fits in with the style of the cottage.
Although maybe not for everyone.

The location is great not only for being right by the beach and with great views, but also shops, a take away and plenty of places to eat within a short walk. Can recommend the take away accross the harbour which does an awesome Thai and East Aisian! They have 'Fish and Chips' Written above thier door.

The location is also great if you like walking, with footpaths just over the road to reach the coast paths. The walk to Culbourne is lovely if not hard work! You could take some great long walks around here. You can also do a short loop accross from the cottage up the grass track to the beach then come bck along the beach front to the cottage.

During the day it can get very busy with visitors around here. When you are inside you cannot hear them and it is very quiet and private i the back garden also. However you will notice, due to the chocolate box scene of the cottages that lots of people will be nosy to have a look and take photos! A bit off sitting at the front with people taking photos of the cottage. Come the evening, it all falls more quiet again and it is the same in the morning with hardly anyone around.

I really loved waking up to see the sunrise and the sea from the bedroom window, and walking a few metres to the beach to have my morning cup of tea!
Equally as lovely to see the sun set from the beach or out the front.
So calm and peaceful here you are sure to relax.

It is worth baring in mind, that the cottage is on Turkey Island. You park on the other side of the harbour and reach the cottage by foot over a foot bridge

Would highly recommend this place.
I miss it so much already!

There is absolutely no doubt that this cottage is in an idyllic position, couldn't be better. It was very warm and comfortable, lovely beds. We had a very relaxing break.
It may be helpful to let people know when thy rent that the downstairs bedroom and access to the kitchen are via 3 steps. Not a big deal for most, but tricky for us as my Mother has limited mobility.
It also may be time to tart up the decor a bit. Hence not five stars for us, but none the less, highly recommended for a relaxing break with lots to do and see on the doorstep.

This thatched cottage is great.
The position is on Turkey Island across a very small bridge over the lock gate. One view from the lounge is over the land with few buildings and the hill in the background. The side view is over the very small port with coming and going yachts. It is the upstairs bathroom that has a view out to sea! The front garden has some chairs for afternoon tea - while the back garden in enclosed and in 3 separate areas. Everywhere is so interesting - with little individual features.
We were fortunate with fabulous weather
One of our party had walking difficulties but was able to walk the short distance from the reserved parking place to the cottage including over the small bridge. Anyone who is in a wheelchair all the time may have difficulties
We cannot wait to go back here

Liked best: So difficult - the position, the views and the cottage itself with all the individual feats. The main bedroom upstairs had 22 pictures!
Liked least: Difficult to find anything negative
