For Church Stretton the location could not be better, and plenty of facilities very close - all less than two minutes walk, Co-op, Chinese takeaway (not tried), Fish & chips (Average), two nice pubs and an extremely helpful library / tourist information / local history. We found some nice short walks (an hour). The cottage was fully equipped with good Internet. Nice large main bedroom with dressing area. The second bedroom was small, but as a couple we didn't use it. There isn't parking outside, but we found parking less than a minute every day. Some may find the stairs challenging.
This is a warm, comfortable cottage.Well appointed with everything you could want for enjoyable stay to a very beautiful part of the country.A very kind touch was the basket of"goodies" and milk .
Lovely cottage, has everything you need, perfectly located for walking the Long Mynd. A generous welcome pack with a great bottle of wine was a very pleasant surprise. Owner Sally is very welcoming. There are some excellent pubs in the local villages. We thoroughly enjoyed our 3 night stay here.
Myself and 2 friends stayed here for 3 nights for a road cycling holiday.
The cottage was lovely and cosy. It was great being able to cook a nice meal, wash our clothes and chill in front of the fire after a long days ride. The perfect base for our trip!
