We stayed here on our NC500 route, the location is great overlooking the loch, the hotel is a little dated but the staff and quality of food definitely make up for it. The evening diner was lovely and breakfast even better. A really nice hotel

Good location with beautiful views right on the waterfront in the centre of Gairloch. The hotels decor is rather dated, bedroom was good size with lovely high pressured shower.Hotel staff were helpful and friendly the food in the restaurant was warm, tasty and plentiful. We would happily return if in the area

We have just spent two nights here with three other couples and thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Good food, very welcoming and very helpful staff. We would happily stay again if in the area and would hope to see the Owners Classic get a bit of use.

We stayed here for 1 night in June, in the middle of our NC500 road trip. Good location right on the waterfront in the centre of Gairloch, which is quite a sprawling village. Unfortunately we didn't see it at its best as it was wet and grey.
We were given a ground floor room (room 1) in the Annex next door, which I would not have chosen, although I had asked for a sea view which I got. The downside was that those guests walking past to access the front Annex door to enter the building could see right in if the curtains were open (no nets), but it was comfortable and we weren't there for long. Best to request an upper floor room though.
There was a good walk in shower with disabled facilities which would be useful for some. The bathroom decor was rather unusual with deep green vertical stripes around the bath - see photo - but it was a good sized bathroom!
We ate in the restaurant which was nice and good food, pub style. I enjoyed my lasagne very much, although it didn't look pretty, and we both had squid for starters which was tasty. The acccompanying salads with these dishes could have done with a bit of dressing as very plain, but I realise that's not to everyone's taste.
My husband decided he needed a night off red meat so opted for grilled haddock and new potatoes, which was very plain and came with the same plain salad, so he found his main course bland but his own fault really. We shared a bowl of profiteroles for dessert which were lovely. Full Scottish breakfast also good.
The conservatory at the front of the hotel was attractive and looked a nice area to sit and enjoy the view with a drink, but we didn't have time to do so.
Staff were nice but we had to wait a while in the morning to find a receptionist in to check out. As with everywhere at the moment, I think all staff are multi tasking, so they were helping with breakfast.

Room tip: Upper floor best if Annex, for privacy reasons, and sea view nice
