I visited with my Wife and 2 Sons. We had a family room which was perfect for us.
The hotel receptionist Sharon was most helpful and booked a table for us at their sister venue a short walk from the hotel. We also received a 10% discount on our meal.
I unfortunately suffered a punctured tyre during our stay and Sharon was invaluable in getting assistance for us from a garage she knew in Aultbea. The service and help provided by Sharon was invaluable and because of her knowing the garage owner, assistance duly arrived within 20 minutes. THANK YOU SHARON.
Excellent hot breakfast in the morning.
The honesty bar was also nice to see and have a drink in.
Finally apologies for leaving without handing in my room key. I hope this has now been received?

We spent 2 nights here as part of a hiking group traveling around the Highlands. We were quite pleased with our room and the facilities in the building. We had difficulties in finding the dining room because it was situated in another building (pub & restaurant) that didn't have the hotels name on it. Otherwise it was a nice stay.

Cute little lodge, perfect for our trip. Ms. Sharon was friendly and accommodating. Quick 30 min drive to Torridon, where we enjoyed biking and hiking. Would recommend Gairloch highland lodge. How to visit and spend more time in the area!

The hotel and our room was incredibly tired and run down. The whole place needs a makeover and a bit of money spending on it. At £99 a night it was not worth the money in my opinion. We stayed in much nicer places around the NC500 that were far cheaper. Sheets of old fabric are hanging randomly everywhere, even in the dining room causing dust and lack of hygiene. Dread to think when they were last washed or why they are even there in the first place. Old cheap tacky looking clocks decorate the dining room most of which aren’t even working. Breakfast was basic and not very appetising served on old plates etc. All the furniture in the communal areas was tired and tatty. We were glad we were only there for one night and I have to admit that it was the worst place we stayed in out of all the 14 overnight stays we had on the NC500.

I'm a repeat guest at this lodge and find it a great place to stay when travelling along the west coast ..... or doing the now popular NC500.
This stay was with my son to start another generation of travel in this area .... definately the most scenic and quiet in the UK for now.

Just on the outskirts of Gairloch, Charlestown to be exact, and near the Old Inn and harbour. The lodge has a really friendly manager. The rooms are clean and well presented. An honesty bar in the large residents lounge gives a welcoming area to spend the end of the evening.

The lodge does not do evening meals, so plan ahead and book the nearby Old Inn which is just a short 200 - 300 yds walk away, and i believe paired with the lodge. The restaurant area here is open and airy with window views over a nice old bridge and river. The bar area is also bookable with a large fireplace and nice atmosphere, its a bit more relaxed to have a meal and few beers. Walk-in is possible but more difficult in high season ... I'd advise to phone lodge and book through them as they will also give a discount voucher to all residents that use in the Old Inn to dine.
Enjoy a drink and walk either the harbour or along the riverside path before returning to the lodge residents lounge .... great. Of course remember midge lotion for the river walk.

Breakfast is in a large split level area with floor to ceiling windows in a scandavian style. Usual mix of self service breakfasts and a hot food buffet. A little more choice would be nice but the staff were open to making extras to order if asked. All good.

The managers usual personal attention on check out is nice and makes for a friendly feeling to your stay.
