“A real home away from home.”

A wonderful warm, cozy and comfortable cottage with everything you could possibly need or want. Located in the delightful village of Middleham it had three very good pubs on the doorstep which all served food. Middleham Castle was a five minute walk away and was well worth a visit. The cottage was a good base to explore the Northen Yorkshire Dales with all it's picturesque towns and villages and great walks. We wll definitely be booking another stay soon.

Not in town, not lost in the middle of nowhere. Loveliest walks on the doorstep along the river, on the moors, lovely touristic sites around and pubs.
The cottage is clean, dry and cozy.
It provides a very easy holiday all around.
We love going back :-)

“Delightful accommodation in a picturesque village.”

Coming from Australia, we think of a bungalow as a ramshackle little building at the back of one's house!!---this is the most delightful cottage, with all modern appliances, set in a beautiful village steeped in history. We like walking, so were spoiled for choice. We like English pubs, and all three gave friendly service and good food. You need your own car, so you can visit interesting places and return on the same day--eg York. Our few days at Fox Cottage were a real highlight of our UK trip.
