Nice beer. Place looked ok.

Went for an evening meal and had a pretty bland king prawn saag. The Gurkha special starter was pretty good.

Thank mr h

We have not been to the Roadmaker for several years, but our return this evening has been rewarded with excellent service and quality cuisine. It was sub-zero outside but warm and cosy inside, we will be returning soon. Three cheers and thank you to the Gurkhas.

Very conscientious staff who paid close attention to a celery allergy. The service was quick even though the room was 3/4 full of lunch time patrons (Saturday). The food was very well presented, and full of flavour. We had the Nepalese lamb (curry) and chicken curry. English food is also available. The portion sizes were generous for a lunch time.

The room itself has a centrally positioned fireplace which creates a beautiful and cosy atmosphere. We won’t bother with the busy Kilpeck Inn in the future when visiting Newent. The service, attitude and relaxing atmosphere is superior here, so well worth travelling the extra mile towards Ross on the B4421. Even the coffee was wonderful and well presented with attention to detail. We couldn’t fault a thing, so will return soon.

Although close to the M50, the Roadmaker Inn is a little off the beaten track (over 10 miles from Gloucester). However, the treck out is absolutely worth it.
The inn itself is already inviting, oldfashioned bar on the car park side, but a lovely restaurant with views into the kitchen on the other.
Although it’s busy even during the week (best make a reservation) and they also do take-always, the staff are very friendly, courteous and accommodating.
The food is absolutely delicious and the menu has just the right size with Himalayan specialties, avoiding the usual staples you could get in any Indian restaurant. Nepalese flavours are very subtle with just a little accompanying heat (which the cook will adjust to your wishes).
Great food, great people, great place
