Dropped in here after seeing a leaflet at our B&B and it being secondly recommended as the first recommendation was fully booked but better apparently.
You have to take your own alcohol but that's no bother.
Looks a bit temporary, with no table cloths and bright lighting.
We hadn't booked, but there were plenty of empty tables. The waiter looked annoyed we'd turned up but still offered us a choice of tables.
Poppadoms were ordered then my partner went down the road to get beer. Whilst he was away, the waiter asked if I was ready to order. (Seemed like he was trying to get us out quickly)
When he returned, we ordered a prawn pura starter then onion bhajis to come out with the main. The waiter said it would be better as a starter. We did tell him several times we didn't want the bhajis as a starter.
My partner ordered a tikka masala but a little spicier. This was another disagreement with the waiter who said it would be better as it was. We've never met so much negativity. Usually Indian restaurants are very accommodating of your tastes.
Found the whole experience very off putting.
The food was tasty in the end, but customer service needs a serious overhaul
