We visit Lyme Regis often and always go to La Quilla, have never had a bad meal, the staff are lovely, no licence but you can bring your own alcohol they do not have a lot of room in thier fridge so you need to bring it cold, plenty of places to buy it near the restaurant. My husband is american and it is the first place he wants to go when we come back to the UK. As for the layout..its Lyme Regis a very old town with listed buildings.

Went on a very busy bank holiday but the service was very good and the food tasty with good sized portions. The restaurant doesn't have a licence so you can bring your own beer/wine etc. Really enjoyed our evening and will certainly look to come again when next in Lyme.

Have been to Lal Qilla a number of times over the years and it gets better and better. As others have said the restaurant is unassuming from the outside and quite small but it is always busy with both diners and those collecting Takeaway orders.

The owners/staff are always flat out busy but go out of their way to both fit diners in who haven’t booked and be very attentive/polite.

Our food on Sunday is right up there the best Indian food we have eaten. We had a Medium Chicken Balti, Chicken Chana (a lovely chickpea dish), onion bhajis that were excellent, a chapati and mushroom rice. All excellent and very reasonable at £25 partly because you can take your own wine which really keeps the cost down

Total recommend but book early, it is very popular!

Doesn't look anything special from the outside (or the inside for that matter). However, what it does do is to provide excellent food - Mrs GTW waxed lyrical about her chicken tikka and I really enjoyed my lamb madras. The food, together with top quality service, made this a great evening. NB: no drinks licence so remember to take your own alcohol.
