We visited the house with our two little dogs and enjoyed the walk around the grounds. It was interesting to see the before and after pictures of different areas of the grounds. We finished off with a visit to the tea room. Minted pea soup followed by a crumble and clotted cream. They were all absolutely delicious. The tea room staff were so lovely, nothing too much trouble for them.

We were very excited to experience a tour at prideax place. My family are local to the Padstow area and have never visited. When we arrived there were a load of coaches blocking the view. In addition the receptionist answered our simple questions as if we were complete idiots. We decided to skip the tour and just get the tea. It was very pleasant but our trip was soured by our initial interaction with the receptionist.

Day visit wandering around Padstow and stumbled upon this grand house at the top if the hill. We just made it before closing. Lovely and tranquil setting away from the bonkers busy town centre. Good coffee and exciting cake selections ordered,we sat and watched the deer in the field opposite. Shame you can't see the sea but would happily walk up the hill again in a return visit!

Once you have seen the beautiful house, look out for the teddy bears, and paused a while in the tea room something magical happens. Look for the time of the deer feeding and they will come up to within a few feet of you and it is magical. The house is fascinating in itself with a tremendous history but added to that the grounds and deer make it an oasis of peace and quiet. Loved all of it.

Well worth a visit but a bit hard going from the guide who read everything from a book and notes and slow with it .
