“Lovely cottage but noisey location!”

This cottage is well appointed and has everything you need for a comfortable stay. Unfortunately it is situated on a very busy junction - something not made apparent in the description.. Parking is also a short walk away down a narrow lane. If you do not mind the traffic noise and the inconvenient parking , then it is a very nice cottage for 2.

“Rural and relaxing”
Reviewed 20 August 2016 for a stay in August 2016

Great place for a break. Quiet and really tranquil.Owners leave you well alone. Very well furnished and great rural setting- easy to move around Suffolk from this comfy cottage. You can even buy fresh eggs and jam from the hosts:just take what you need and drop the money into the box.

We stayed here for a long weekend and was a lovely place. Took us a while to locate it but once found it was lovely. Our only grumble was no secure outdoor area for our little dog, maybe a little fence across the front yard would be a good idea. Apart from this minor detail everything else was top quality.

“Immaculately presented cottage”
Reviewed 18 June 2016 for a stay in June 2016

Throughly enjoyed the stay in this immaculately presented and comfortable cottage. Although Horringer is on a main connecting road into Bury St Edmonds the cottage is tucked away in a beautiful and peaceful courtyard garden well away from the road.

Do bear in mind that the parking is about 200 yards from the cottage, but the cottage is so comfortable and welcoming it more than made up for the minor inconvenience.

As a dog owner the cottage and the location worked well. Ideally located for exploring Ickworth Park which is just five minutes around the corner. There is easy access on the doorstep to footpaths and trails for those looking for more long distance walking. Also well located for road connections for exploring further afield.

Thank you Caroline for a lovely stay.

“Lovely little cottage”
Reviewed 13 May 2016 for a stay in May 2016

My husband and I stayed at The Old Piggery as our base for exploring the villages and towns of Suffolk. We would definitely stay again - the cottage was so clean, well fitted and comfortable and so peaceful and quiet even though it is just 10 mins from the main A roads to go off exploring. The village is pretty and has some excellent walks too. We had intended to go out most evenings......but the cottage was so comfy that we spent most evenings in relaxing after our busy days out and about. 10 out of 10 :)
