“A hodge-podge of eclectic antique and quirky furniture placed in an appealingly ramshackled old villa.”
Reviewed 31 July 2017 for a stay in July 2017

We had a terrific time staying at the Eola Luxury apartments. But these apartments are inappropriately labelled luxury. You would be disappointed if a luxury experience was your goal: no AC, one bathroom for four people, terrible internet etc. But we were not looking for luxury. We trusted the pictures well enough to book the two bedroom flat on the top floor. What a space!! Terrific views of Morocco, wind blowing in through the open french windows all day and night, the scents and sounds of Spanish life and Spanish seaside town fluttering in on wind wisps. The furnishings are quirky, quaint and appealingly dilapidated, probably some of them are antiques. The beds are reasonably comfortable. The kitchen serviceable.

Maria the contact person is incredibly efficient and helpful and just genuinely nice.

The location is perfect, all of Tarifa is within walking distance - great shops and restaurants. A wonderful wet market. The beaches in town and just out of town are glorious, with Bolonia beach being our favorite along with the more difficult to get to, but equally fabulous, Playa del Cañuelo. If we stayed longer our boys would have tried out windsurfing, which looked really exciting and fun.

The night scene in Tarifa is also happening and worth checking out. (The boys made it back after three am on two occasions.) We would definitely stay in this flat again. We were there at the same time as multiple members of the extended family that owns the place. I think it made the relatives uncomfortable that we were staying there as well as guests, but the owners, who were also there, were gracious and reasonably friendly.
