Staying at oasis del capistramo is like staying in a beautiful botanical garden. The grounds are groomed and lovely with tall palms and flowering shrubs at every turn. The apartment 2a Calle palmas is very comfortable with really efficient air conditioning. A well equipped kitchen, the view from the patio is lovely. The swimming pools on the complex are well maintained and a pleasure to use. It is only a short walk to the beach all in all a brilliant end to our Spanish trip.
Having travelled on numerous occasions to Nerja we knew what to expect, however our holiday was made to be far more enjoyable as the apartment was superb. Very well equipped, excellently placed and quiet. Very modern and will every conceivable extra. We have no hesitation in recommending this accommodation.
Many thanks to the owners....
Excellent property, lovely location, brilliant weather. Loved nerja and burriana beach. We would love to return.
Fantastic apartment with everything you need, in a lovely quiet setting. We had maid service mid holiday as we stayed 2 weeks. There are 3 pools with plenty of sunbeds which are 2 euros to hire but only upto mid September after that there is no charge. Bar on site which was closing this weekend until next year, very friendly bar man and a good tasting pint. The complex is a good 20 minute walk from the centre of Nerja but there is a local bus just outside the complex and lots of bars and restaurants along the way to stop off for refreshments if you walk into the centre of Nerja. 2 well stocked supermarkets within 5 to 7 minutes walk of the complex. Quite a steep walk from the apartment to get out of the complex.
My wife and I spent 10 nights in this wonderful apartment in mid July 2015.
First impressions can be very important, especially after a long, tiring journey and so we were delighted to find the apartment so bright and clean on arrival. Very well equipped Ikea built kitchen with loads of glasses, cutlery, plates, utensils, pots and pans, etc. Bathroom similarly bright and airy with a good large walk-in shower.
The aircon was a lifesaver during the evening particularly. Only downside was that it was a little noisy. Also, the main unit was towards the living area so you have to keep the bedroom door open at night if you want the full benefit.
The outside terrace area was one of the best we’ve ever had in 25 years of holidaying abroad. The sun was on the terrace from about 8.00am (would have been even earlier if not for the big palm tree!) till 7.00pm. Breakfast outside each morning was a brilliant start to the day. .
We had a car for the duration of our visit so getting to and from the numerous beaches was no problem. There is a ‘dirt track’ shortcut to the main beach at Burriana which was less than 15 minutes. This does end with a fairly steep descent of steps so something better than flip flops are required. Walking by the main road route makes it about a 25 minute walk in.
Plenty of eating places around the main Balcon area although the better ones are a couple of streets back up. Again, it’s about a 25 minute walk from the apartment although taxis are an option (but weren’t considered by these 2 fit young things!). You do need to be aware that the walk home is all uphill. No really steep inclines but still uphill! But helps to burn off the calories ready to go again the next morning.
We ate out at 8 different restaurants and our best meals were at Olive and at Scarletts (tables up on the roof, overlooking ‘the buzz’).. Olive was a bit more expensive than most but not too ridiculous – starters, mains (fillet steak and duck) and a bottle of plonk set us back €100. But this also included various other little nibbles and palate cleansers between courses. Highly recommended. .
All in all a quite fantastic holiday
