“Felt like my 2nd home”
Reviewed 24 August 2015 for a stay in August 2015

Well what can I say, from the very first email I sent Malcolm, i knew I had made a great decision to venture in our first ever Self Catering holiday.

The communication from Malcolm was second to none and no matter how many questions/ queries I had or changes I made he was happy to help.

The villa was exceptional. Everything we could have hoped for and more, the pictures really do not do it justice. It was spotlessly clean, fully stocked (which trust me was great travelling 45 mins in the bus with two kids needing the loo!) and so homely.

We had the pool to ourselves for pretty much the whole entire first week, and the people we met throughout our time there had been to the same place time and time again - and I can say without a show of a doubt and no pun intended - we will be back!

Malcolm, thank you so much for delivering everything you said you would and more. Having never booked outside of a travel agent before I was very dubious about what to expect but you have banished any doubt I ever had, and on behalf of myself, family and friends, thank you for allowing us to share your home for two weeks, and we lol forward to returning.

“Lovely villa and great location”

We stayed at 3 Alamar 2 for 2 weeks in July for the first time and were so impressed.
We arrived to a freshly cleaned villa that was a perfect location for us - only 5 mins from the beach! A 10 minute walk took us into beautiful Nerja where we were spoilt for choice for places to eat, drink and shop. The Balcon d'Europe was particularly impressive.
There were a few supermarkets close by (the closer one by the beach was more pricey than the bigger Super Sol up the hill).
The view from the villa's own balcony was superb, with a great view of the beach. Many lovely meals and drinks were had there!
The villa's shared pool was cleaned daily and the gardens well maintained (good for finding a shady spot!). The owner was very helpful and dealt quickly with any queries we had.
We'd highly recommend this villa (and Nerja) for a family holiday and hope to be back there soon!

“First trip to nerja - we will be back here!”
Reviewed 13 September 2012 for a stay in August 2012

First visit to nerja for us and it was perfect. The location, quality of the accommodation and the experience of dealing with the owner were all superb. You're so close to the beach you can hear the waves from the balcony and there are excellent restaurants at the beach or up town, both within walking distance.

The villa is very spacious and perfect if you are travelling with other couples or as a family. It was clean and tidy on arrival and the cleaners were quick with our weekly linen change. The kitchen was well equipped, the bedrooms were perfect for all and very cool in the hot nights (brilliant air-con system with a more than reasonable tariff) and the balcony was ideal with a large sun blind. We spent a lot of our time on the balcony as the views are stunning. There is plenty of room for meals and gatherings and the BBQ is very convenient.
The pool area is private, very relaxing and lovely for a cool down. Although it is deep, there is a gate for the safety of children.
The owner was so helpful and really made our holiday experience an enjoyable one. Nothing was too much to ask and his knowledge of local bars, restaurants and places to visit were invaluable. We would definitely recommend this accommodation to any potential visitors, as long as you don't pinch our desired dates!

“Great location”
Reviewed 17 August 2012 for a stay in July 2012

This property is situated in a great location to beach and town.
I rented this property with my son, daughter in law, their 2 young children and my other 23 yr old son.
It sounded ideal with 4 bedrooms. There is a spacious lounge leading onto a disappointing size balcony and not very private. It's also over a noisy road which spoils sitting out late evening having a drink. We didn't use the bbq as the neighbours requested we didn't as the previous guests smoked them out ( flue could be blocked).
The kitchen is quite small but very well equipped with crockery and utensils but a bit of a struggle to cook as not much work space. The top on the washing machine was missing which I think is unsafe. My younger son came in late one night to find the floor crawling with cockroaches, not very pleasant. The agent came next morning after notifying them and they put some poison pots down ontop of the washer and under cupboards, didnt encounter any more after that.
The 2 top bedrooms, double and twin were very nice and my son and family had those. However, the further 2 rooms downstairs, very unsatisfactory. The stairs lead down to another lounge area which is nice but pointless could have been one large spacious bedroom instead. On the left is a bedroom which hasn't any windows or ventilation, so it's dark and as it's built into a hillside it's also damp and smells musty. We couldn't use this room due to lack of air and couldn't use the wardrobe due to damp patches in the corner. To the right of the lounge area is a banister and couple of steps down to twin beds, no door, just curtains to pull across. Within this area a shower room with toilet and basin. There isn't a power point in the curtained bed area and no mirror so you would have to go upstairs to dry hair and apply make up etc.
Not much privacy for anyone sharing downstairs. No pictures of these rooms on the website now we know why.
There is a small courtyard at the front of the row of villas but no gardens. There are tall locked gates leading into the garden with a communal swimming pool. It isn't child friendly as there is no shallow end for young one's to paddle and as there wasn't any depth markings we weren't sure how deep until you got in. You are unable to stand up unless you're about 6 ft tall. The children took a lot of coaxing to go in as they didn't feel confident not being able to stand and you couldn't hold them as adults couldn't stand up in it either.
The air con is only in the upper lounge and top bedrooms and you are charged for usage by a meter and you do need it!
You are also charged for wifi and the tv didn't work at all due to a problem with sky. A family of 6 could fit comfortably in here maybe if you pulled the beds out into lounge area from the dark room older children could share the downstairs area.
Had 4 couples rented this thinking 4 bedrooms, 2 couples would be very disappointed with their bedrooms.
We personally think it's a townhouse/apartment as villas do usually come with own garden or large terrace. There are other villas on the site which have very large terraces and private gardens which I would rent in the future.
We were very disappointed with the price we paid for this property and wouldn't recommend it.

Dear Malcolm,

Thank-you for your email.
We really had a wonderful family holiday. Your villa is beautiful and couldn’t be in a better position. The beach is literally just a stone’s throw away and it’s true that you can hear the waves from the terrace.
We loved Burianna Beach too. It’s very child friendly, beautiful clear waters and life guards were always present.
We loved having all the bars and restaurants so close. Then of course the delight of discovering Nerja town centre was another pleasant surprise. The view from the top of the zig zag walk way is truly stunning and you can really appreciate the great position of the villa in comparison to the beach. Then on from there it’s a very pleasant walk through the town to The Balcon which again is a wonderful sight. It was also great to see people walking up and down the walkway from our terrace especially in the evening with a nice cool drink!
We were so pleasantly surprised with Nerja and the position of your villa that I really think we have found our holiday paradise! Why go anywhere else? (You can probably tell that my head is still in Nerja.I was a travel consultant for ten years before having my family and I’m obsessed with holidays!)
As regards the villa it was very well equipped, beds were very comfortable. Very clean. Great to have ironing board, iron, hair dryer, towels.
A truly wonderful place to stay. The pool was great too and gardens are so well looked after. We were surprised that being August the pool was usually empty during the day on the days we didn’t go out so we had it to ourselves, then late afternoon it was a great atmosphere to have people around the pool as they return from their day out.
We had such a lazy holiday that we never did make it to the market!
No problem either with supermarkets. We got a taxi a couple of times to the large supermarket and it all went smoothly with loading and unloading all our bags and there were a lot of them!
You Malcolm couldn’t have been more efficient and helpful. Your sorted all our queries instantly and it was very reassuring to know that you were there at the end of the phone if we needed you. We are very grateful for that.
It’s just such a shame that you are fully booked for August next year. I am trying to persuade my husband to book next years holiday but notice you are not available for 2 weeks in August next year, but we most certainly hope to return.

Best Regards Malcolm Peter Williams.
