We arrived at walnut farm to be welcomed by glorious sunshine. Casa Rosa has everything to make your stay very comfortable. There is a well equipped kitchen and a very comfy lounge area with a fab log burner just because the day times where sunny but it chilled a little in the evening only because its the month of November. Down in the garden there is a large swimming pool with all kinds of activities, olive trees and walnut trees surround the whole garden very picturesque. We even had a couple of bbq's which was relaxing Sat on the patio. Just a short drive away is the town of antequera which is full of history, bars and shops. Had a lovely winter break and certainly recharged our batteries. Would definitely recommend this lovely place.
We were only here at walnut farm in August and now we're back again, what a difference, the gardens look stunning. We found out easijet fly Granada airport, ours was the only plane on the tarmac, so peaceful and a great start to our holidays. Rosa didn't fail to exceed our expectations, everything was just perfect, the log burner was on and it heated the whole house up, not that we needed it during the day as our normal temp was between 16° & 19°c, beautiful blue skies, real stress busting times. Inside the villa it was spotless and once again everyone was catered for wether it be books or cd's, games or just listening to the radio or watching tv it was just like being at home with all those amenities. So sorry to leave but Lynne and Paul made us so welcome, thanks to you both you do the villas proud. We'll be back with friends in May 2018
We arrived at the villas after lunch and was greeted by Lynne and Paul. We have been a few times now and can only say the place get so better everyone.
We had every amenity you could possible need eg hairdryer, Cork screw, slow cooker, microwave.
The rooms were all very clean and tidy and in the bedroom we were lucky enough to be the first visitors to use the brand new mattresses and toppers what luxury I had probably one of the best sleeps ever that week.
The pool was wonderful and as it was October the temperature was perfect and we had amazing hot weather. Great sun loungers plus inflatables.
Cannot recommend this wonderful relaxing hideaway villa enough.
The proof is we have booked again already for next year.
A truly beautiful retreat with a fabulous pool and BBQ. The pictures don't do it justice. Exceptionally clean with more amenities than expected.
Lynne and Paul are the perfect hosts.
Antequera (approx 10 miles away) is a lovely city with great architecture including numerous churches. The streets are clean and the bars are cheap!
Thoroughly recommended for anyone seeking a relaxing break in lovely countryside but within a short distance of a traditional Spanish city. 10 out of 10 all round.
WALNUT FARM (CASA ROSA)
We enjoyed our week at Casa Rosa in early September. As soon as the sun came up over the mountain, perhaps around 9am, the weather was hot and sunny, but cooler early in the morning. The house was perfect for the two of us and very well equipped. Lynne had obviously put a great deal of thought into providing everything we could possibly have needed.
Although we didn’t need to use it this time, Lynne showed us the completely separate annex which comprised quite a spacious bedroom with an en-suite shower room. The exterior doors to both the annex and the main casa were only a few metres away from each other, faced the same direction and had separate keys, making it easy for two other people to share the property but still having a little independence. It was also reassuring to know that Lynne was contactable should an emergency arise which we had been unable to deal with.
Although only a few minutes drive from the motorway, it felt quite rural, with just a few properties fairly close by. Lynne was a mine of information and there was also a folder in the property giving all sorts of information about the house and the area.
The beautiful pool was very clean and a good size, with plenty of sunbeds around it. (I loved the wide steps at the shallow end with the central handrail.
While we were there another couple whom we had never met, came to stay in the other casa (Marguerita). We enjoyed getting to know them a little and we could not have had nicer neighbours.
