Food was excellent; sitting outside was a wonderful atmosphere, Italian ice cream within feet. Prices were great and waitress very friendly. Will have to stay at HOTEL next time, everything was very clean and organized inside

We did not stay at this hotel, but we did dine at its restaurant. While visiting the Nazi Concentration Camp at Dachau, we decided to go into the town of Dachau to see what was there and to get something to eat. Next to the Rathaus was the Altstadthotel Zieglerbräu, and we decided to eat at the restaurant’s outside dining area. In addition to beer, two of us had salad and pork cordon bleu and another friend had a beer with a salad and Wiener schnitzel. The food and service were superb. While there we walked around the hotel. I'd certainly return to this restaurant.

Stayed here after visiting Dachau Concentration Memorial, quaint place reminded me of a Mountain house with plenty of character.
Parking however is offsite and to get to your room you need to drag your luggage up flights of stairs but the room was nice and clean and had a lovely view from the window. They had a disco the night we stayed but warned us that this was on but the noise was not unbearable and we slept well. Had dinner in the restaurant the meal was yummy and the staff pleasant even with the language barrier but all was good.

Next day there was a market in the street with plenty of stalls off fresh produce and handmade goodies. Very pretty Township.

Went to Dachau's old town centre for a rainy May 01st walk around and stopped off at the Altstadthotel Zieglerbraeu Hotel Restaurant for a lunch of fresh asparagus and (fresh)Strawberries and Ice-cream. What can I say? It was nice! Food was fresh, Service was efficient and friendly and the style typical Bavarian without being "tacky & touristy". Defintely worth the detour.

We stayed here one night last week. It was overpriced and had we seen the room first, we would not have stayed. However, we only needed a place to sleep. The carpets are worn and don't look behind the bed, couch, etc., or you will find endless dust balls. The breakfast was minimal.
We were on a road trip for 8 nights and this was our worst hotel. There is nothing charming about it except the area surrounding it. We might have stayed a second night if it wasn't so bad. Instead we moved on to an adorable inn at Lake Ammersee.
This hotel is taking advantage of the fact that they are perhaps the only hotel in the heart of Old Town Dachau.
