I was checked into this hotel before the earthquake. The rooms were clean and spacious. Staff were friendly and all. Their Friday night barbecue was great.
However, I loved them even more, after the earthquake (25 Apr 2015). They accommodated people even if they weren't really checked into their hotel. Their neighbors even came to the hotel to charge their phones and use WIFI. Apparently, most of the places in the area didn't have electricity, but Summit has. SOME (not all)toilets still has water for flushing.
Staff didn't sleep to accommodate their guests' requests and queries. They were there for more the 24hrs (until I left, I dunno how long more they stayed). Staffs' services didn't get compromised even if they were really tired. I'd like to commend on one staff, Krishna and the other staff (forgot his name) who's smiles didn't perish. It meant a lot especially for us, foreigners who were scared and paranoid. They made the whole ordeal less stressful and scary.
Well, I gotta say, in normal days Summit is the place to be. In adversity, they've shone more.Thank you Summit! Keep it up!More
