This place has the best breakfast in Dominical. Always a great speacial featuring fresh local fare. Fresh baked goods and the atmosphere is awesome. Located on the Baru river , the cool morning breeze is a nice respite from the relentless heat of the day. Mongo congo has the friendliest folks in town. Always willing to converse or answer any questions. Thank you for making us feel so welcome!

Great selection of entries (I’ll give 5-stars for the Tico burritos) and deserts. Iced mocha coffee so delicious too. Your choice of inside seating, river view or on-the-river seats. So lovely. You cannot visit Dominical without having at least one meal here. (We also tried to have dinner here...and found it closed...so check their times.) Excellent. Can’t miss.

Hey Curthess, thanks for the great review.

We appreciate you mentioning the hours - we are open from 7:00 - 5:00 daily. It tends to extend out to 6:00 some days so people are not rushed out.

Hope to see you back in the future!

It's been a year since my last visit and it's still amazing. I love the orange cold press juice, tried to find substitute but it's impossible. The salad and veggie lasagna was perfect. The monkey punch coffee is once again a gift for my dog sitter. He's a coffee affecianado and hasn't stopped talking about how awesome it was all year. Frankie and his crew were superb as well.

Thanks for taking the time to fill out a review Denise. Much appreciated!

We happen to think Frankie is a rockstar as well. Very lucky to work with such a great team.

Hope to see you back!

These particular monkey balls are made with cacao and black beans, rolled in coconut or espresso powder, and totally worth a 5 hour flight and 3 hour drive. I got extra to eat on the way home.
Wish I could have done the same with the falafel and tahini salad, but I doubt it would have traveled as well.
First time trying their Agua de Sapo. Very interesting. While it did help my hangover, I bet it's even better with rum.
Oh, and the setting. Could sit here all day.
