Review of Cafe Ensuenos

Cafe Ensuenos
Ranked #9 of 49 Restaurants in Dominical
Certificate of Excellence
Description: The best coffee grown and managed by a WOMEN! In a place where you usually only find instant coffee, a nice cup of coffee with breakfast or lunch or a hearty, healthy and delicious smoothie... any combo of fruit for the same price!!! Worth every penny!! Located right behind Domilocos!!

Great place. We luckily found it the first night, as we stayed in a cabina right across the street. The food is authentic and quite amazing. We were treated very lovely by the owners. Very recommendable for for breakfast, lunch and dinner !

The place might not look great from outside, but just try one dish and you will fall in love with this place.
We had here breakfast, dinner and late night smoothie.
Their taste-money value is the best I had for last 7 months in Costa Rica. This place is very cheap and their food is amazing! The cheapest place in Dominical. Servings are big and every time I had to take to-go leftovers. Average main course is 3,500-4,500 colones. They have a website where you can check menu with prices.
Breakfast was also great: pancake with fruits, bacon and eggs.
I also had Cordon bleu - it was delicious!
I can't say it was best milkshake/smoothie ever but it was very good. Everybody likes it so much just cuz it has tons of sugar.
The big fancy restaurants make money for somebody, but here you feel like you came to someone's home and know these money go to people that live here and cook it for you.

I ate here for most of my meals because it was too hard to beat. They offer a variety of local and other foods that are wonderful. I recommend the Casados and trying their smoothies (a frozen chocolate banana really hits the spot)!

Our group was staying at Costa Paraiso with no transportation of our own. The owner (Sergio?) picked us up personally and took us to the restaurant! Then made a most delicious lunch. The hit was the frozen smoothies, several flavors were ordered by our group and all were wonderful! My favorite was the chocolate-banana.

This place was recommended to us by our local surf instructors and it did not disappoint. It is a little hard to find, back behind some surf hostels down a bumpy and rutted road. The restaurant has the feel of a Tico living room, with just a few small tables and an adorable couple serving meals. They clearly take great pride in their business. Family favorites were the frozen “batidos” (smoothies). We ordered probably a dozen by the time we left the area. The red snapper was also well received.
