Yes, I know things happen more slowly in Costa Rica, and often that is a good thing. When you are hungry for breakfast, however, a 45 minute wait for pancakes is a bit excessive. The carrot cake pancakes (a house specialty) were excellent by the way. One more thing, don't ask for decaf coffee; our waiter didn't even know what it was. I can't fault him too much, it is practically non-existent even in the supermarkets.
